I played this game forever ago in its really early stages and loved it to death, I've held off for a while to let it get more content before coming back, really excited its getting so much positive attention. For all the restrictions it has (top down, pixel art, single player) I think it is genius how entertaining and replayable they've made it. Theres some real knowledge and skill expression once you start figuring out what you're doing and some of the later fights get super fun.

Yeah, I think that's a great take. I've always been a fan of this art style via games like Starbound, and of course I love EFT and similar, so this was an easy YES from me when the brand reached out. I've been playing this off stream since the video and would like to make more content after we gauge community response and interest first.

I didn't finish watching the video so apologies if you mentioned it, but the other thing that was a selling point for me was I wanted an extraction game that had a more arcadey feel and didn't feel so intense/high stakes; stuff like Stalker is absolutely sick obviously but this was one that I could just boot up, enjoy with a cup of coffee for a little while, and set down easily. That made it really unique to me. Thanks so much for covering it! Long time viewer, always love your vids.

You had AK ammo, just not subsonic. I think Y is the button to switch ammo types. Game doesn't do it automatically when you run out of one type.

I think for that one 5.45 AK, it was previously loaded with subsonic ammo. To have loaded it with normal ammo, I think you need to hold V and use the scroll wheel to select your ammo type since the game doesn't let you mix ammo like tarkov. (It's been a while since I last played, so I'm not sure what the keybind is)

Played this since they got demo on steam next fest and bought it as soon as it became available in EA. Btw if you want a challenge, I have created one and could give you the rules if interested. Some tips: 1) Most items don't have real value outside of crafting or selling (or at least that's how it used to be) and I just take the high price items (electronics and meds in general are expensive). 2) you can drop items inside of the extract zone and then go back to looting and then pick up all your items when extracting, this way you can keep items way above your max carry capacity 3) watch out for armor and weapon durability - damaged guns can jam and damaged armor doesn't protect you as well as in pristine condition 4) on the armor the most important stats are: radiation protection, fragility and class (fragility is how fast it breaks - high = bad, class is how good armor is at protecting - high = good) 5) craft workbench (to repair weapons/armor using scrap), ammo bench (to craft ammo from scrap and to not rely on traders/loot) and try to get the lvl 1 upgrade for storage ASAP (NOTE: you can't have more than one of every facility/upgrade) 6) traders have shared wallet and will buy anything but each has different items for sale and some are locked behind faction reputation 7) looting in the extraction zone will PAUSE the timer

press Y to switch between ammos. you didn't have any 5.45 SUBSONIC but you did have regular, so if you had pressed Y you could have loaded it - it isn't explained well... the soldiers (green skins) are peaceful if you don't attack first - and can be quest givers later. the hunters that are in a camp are peaceful if you don't attack first. The hunters that are wandering around will kill your ass if you don't kill them first, but tend to be alone. To upgrade the stash go to modules in the work bench thing you were at next to your stash. You can set to "Track" for ingredients needed, makes it easier to see what you need. The guy you killed if you do his quest line gives you a stash upgrade module, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to max stash size - but it's only one of 15 pages of stash or so, so should be okay. IMO they crammed way too many mechanics into gunfights, that only SOUND good on paper, but are actually a chore and nuisance, especially considering that some exchanges last for a split second. I'm going to be ranting like Avgn on this xD Firstly the "minimum effective range" - while I can understand bullets losing their power as they travel... the minimum range at which the gun won't deal damage is pure garbage. Like, what even IS that? Does the bullet need to like... accelerate and pick up speed or something? Does it exit at 0mph and need to build it up to do damage? You know what this actually is? Bad design. There were far better ways to design long-range weaponry to be less effective at closer ranges (slow gun turning speeds, more accuracy loss from jerking the gun around, bigger spread if you move around, require standing still a bit for your shots to go exactly when you aim, much slower firerate etc etc etc). Not this where on top of everything else I also need to now look at my "spacing" between me and the enemy, as if I'm playing friggin' chess. Second "aiming at enemy to do more damage" - that in itself sounds ridiculous. It's like saying "If you point the gun at my torso and shoot, you'll hurt me, BUT - if you ALSO look me in the eyes when you do that, the bullet will FOR SOME REASON do MORE damage to me". What the actual heck? Does AI also have to abide by this rule? Don't think so. Do we have like some Uchiha Bloodline ability where if we stare at our target, it somehow channels the chakra into the bullet and it deals more damage? Ever heard of "sweet spots"? Yeah I'd rather have each enemy have a section of their hitbox that's their sweet spot, which if you hit, you deal more damage. You sometimes get jumped by several enemies and don't even have the luxury to pinpoint your aim at them, but instead get PUNISHED for using your twin-stick shooter instincts and align the gun properly at them (despite your mouse being focused way ahead). You literally get punished for not staring at the enemy while you shoot them. It makes as much sense as saying "bullets from hipfire deal less damage than bullets fired when aiming down the sight" Having BOTH in-game bullet spread AND crosshair shaking. Have one OR the other for crying out loud! Don't cram BOTH of them for Pete's sake! It's bad enough that I have to keep my Uchiha Bloodline to Motivate the bullets to do effective damage while I'm stuck between a boar and a hard place, but I also have to WRESTLE with the crosshair too? (which can jerk DOWNWARDS by the way, imagine playing CSGO and recoil goes DOWNWARDS, just imagine how confusing and counterintuitive this is to any gamer) WHILE also controlling bursts so that the bullets don't start to spread too much. Also this is an ISOMETRIC GAME.. ISOMETRIC!! When my crosshair jerks upwards from recoil, that means my gun is basically recoiling to the LEFT, or RIGHT of my target... try picturing THAT one. Imagine going full-auto on an AK and the gun starts turning LEFT like crazy from the recoil, no no, not up, LEFT. Are we holding the guns ganгster-style in this game? Speaking of recoil control, AI has none of that. Perfect accuracy, you will never see them panic shoot with bullets flying all over the place. They also possess Fish-Like 0.001second reflexes once they see you. Forget about trying to exchange fire, you WILL get shot at first and likely eat that bullet if you think you can pop out and 'surprise' them.. Add to this these other mechanics, like armor, where it does some complex calculations to determine if your bullet is actually going to DO some damage, or do ZERO damage, and watch as the enemy gets the lucky 'do damage' rolls whereas your 10 shots proc eight 'i just damaged armor' outcomes. Enemies can flash in like 4 different ways to indicate what happened (like you scored a Glancing Shot because you weren't looking the enemy right in the eye when you blasted their skull with that 8-gauge.. how foolish of you.. thinking that shooting someone dead in the face is good enough), it's literally like playing a D&D game and not a shooter. "Oh snap, I'm badly positioned, I need to pull back for cover.. oh dang, now I'm out of weapon's effective range, oh snap, my crosshair wandered off, none of my shots are hitting, frick! The weapon jammed need to play the Random Press V quicktime event, need to get to cover to heal, oh a grenade is coming, ok let me get to other co- **gets killed by a dead-on rifle shot, from an AI that wasn't even engaging you**" During gunfights, my biggest enemy are not the enemies itself.... but rather the game's awkwardness and these minigames I have to keep in check, it feels literally like a chore. I'm really considering to scour the internet for the older pirated version of the game and play that instead, at least there - shootouts feel like actual friggin' SHOOTOUTS and you could get satisfaction and dopamine rush from gunning down enemies. Here? When I win the encounter I'm like, oh thank God nothing went wrong during it and I didn't get insta-smacked in the face by a 5.56 cal. In the older versions I'd even take time during these gunfights, really strategize and battle it out.. here? I'm just trying to get them over with asap, before one of these bs mechanics bite me in the ass, or the AI does with its own robotic bs. At this point, they may as well add moon phases, and have you pick a zodiac sign that affects you differently during each phase in case they thought they didn't cram enough mechanics in there.. maybe even make it into a turn-based game at this point so that at least we can utilize these mechanics properly. P.S. I also dislike how grenades were implemented. Can't stack them on a key, no designated grenade/flashback key.. rushed just like that unfair acid rain they implemented long ago, where if you didn't get good rad armor yet, you are playing a roulette every time you enter an area that can have these.

I do not have a good PC I have a mini PC that has 8 gigabytes of ddr4 RAM in 128 GB of storage but this game barely takes any thing to run

Both. For paid videos, we're always going to check out the game and mention anything they might like us to talk about, but contrary to what some folks seem to think, the opinions are always 100% genuine. I have been playing this game off stream lately as my new casual go to over Hearthstone, haha. I'd like to make more content for it but I'm gauging community response first.

I was asking because I saw someone stream it last night that I would assume usually wouldn’t and I guess I wanted to know if this is going to be some big new thing. i hope they changed a certain mission, you would legit have to come with multiple stacks of good ammo to the point where you would be overwieght at 40kg just to have enough to kill all the baddies.
