@@andrewhewlett7672 I wish you well on your journeys. Your rig has inspired me as being a practical answer to my present situation. My body is nearing the point where the nickname of All-Day Ray no longer applies. My Sweetest Friend just recently passed away and my household consists of me and my two dogs. I want to find a little piece of land somewhere in the mountains of Georgia/Tennessee area where the climate is temperate and I can park my rig as I then go about building a small abode. Maybe travel a little before I settle down in a place of my liking. That's the tentative plan at this point. Your short bus build seems ideal and I am inspired to do something very similar. I already have a name picked out for it.

I like the look of the outside for sure. I just wonder why the fridge wasn't kept on the kitchen end of the wall with the dresser drawers on the bed side of that wall. Seems it would have made more sense to have clothing by the bed and the fridge venting nearer the door. Swap those two items, and it's the kind of set up my husband and I would totally have...except our toilet would be for normal use not just pee time!😳😬🥴
@andrewhewlett76722 жыл бұрын
We would have lots a few more crucial inches had we reversed it. It was important to keep the electrical switches and readout by the door. Also you cant see it but there is a solid steel frame that runs the top of the door in behind the drawers. The fridge would have been out in our walkway an additional inch.

How do you get the inside wood to stay on the ceiling
@andrewhewlett76722 жыл бұрын
Furring strips alot of glue and screws
@kimlewis83572 жыл бұрын
What type of glue, I use 5200 chaulking for boats, for around the windows, I never thought for inside ceiling. What sealant do you use for the roof to stop leaks where the screws are drilled in to the wood, I have a 40 Fleetwood Bounder motorhome I am remodeling, ceiling leaks, walls need reframing, and metal studs are rusty and need replacement.
