Yeah, worldbuilding where you actually build the cities block by block, and with other people becomes much more fun and immersive than just drawing a map. Lore actually develops naturally through interactions with other people, which also of course makes the world feel much more alive.

Hmm, I played for a long time on a small, medieval themed roleplay server. It was really awesome, you could found your own settlement and build it up, eventually becoming nobility/clergy. Due too strict rule enforcement a world completly build by its players developed, it was awesome. So I agree, Minecraft world building and role play is a really underappreciated genre with a lot of potential

Jagdas Fact: The reason Sheol the First collapsed was due to the failure of the Nether Treaty from the former player Unrar. Unrar was motivated to write the treaty as Yimmu Audal was constructing a highway and accidentally went into Sheol land. They offered to pay Sheol for the use of our land but Chief Unrar wanted all Overworlders to stay in the Overworld, which became the basis of the Nether Treaty. Also the player, Harbardar is from Sheol

I was part of a township called the garden of Eden or just Eden.... Which was around from 2011, and by the time the server was shut down due to the hundreds of players getting older getting more busy with school getting jobs getting married going to college etc, The core player base, It was approaching five centuries in Minecraft years. at our height we had 128 active citizens and it was a 5-minute walk from one end of the city to the other.
