HK22 coverstock technology comes to the VIBE series and holy smokes does it make a statement! Not only with the color, but the all-out backend performance on the lane!
With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Ball Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

Just started bowling like alittle over 2 months ago and figured I was gonna get this one and a defender and asked the differences and he said the defender hooked more midlane and this one was more of a smooth roll. Ended up buying this one for 55 used in really good shape no scuffs or anything and bowled a turkey my first game!

I'm going to order this ball before next season starts. The Vibe core is very forgiving for my slow ball speed. It rarely gets lost. This one has more punch than my old one.

I had the DV8 Yellow Pearl MIsfit that you mentioned. It was a very flippy ball off of the dry but doesn't appear that it would come close to this Vibe, which looks earlier and much stronger overall. The Misfit coverstock just was not very durable in my opinion. I also tried out the GB4 hybrid recently, and although it had a "benchmark" type shape and control, I thought it was extremely weak going through the pins for me (I expected it to be long but not without some backend reaction - multiple entry angles I tested). This Radioactive Vibe looks much stronger than that one too. Thank you so much for the great content and testing! Having the SPECTO data is great!

Hammer balls are great. Just like other companies. The only negative with them is they don't have storm as the label so people will never try them. Honestly every hammer ball I've used hooks alot more than storm stuff. Motiv always feels like the in-between for me.

This ball would be great for any bowler who is speed dominant. On medium-dry conditions they can pitch it right and watch the ball finish strong.

Yeah man I got this ball man. It hooks power for the money. I can stand on the 30 with my left come across the middle down for our out to the 10:00 and it comes right back. Good video. I don't understand the 3.0 black widow. I got the 2.0 hybrid.

When I first read this was a solid I was definitely hoping for it to be more like the blue vibe and onyx vibe but it looks wa y more angular

that move in was a huge difference (the stone 8 and shot after it) went from exit board of mid 20 to 15 then 12. Straighter with speed seems to be the best.

I WISH I had the ball speed to throw one of these. I'm a speed-challenged two-hander who converted very late in life. You very, very rarely see a ball this responsive that is also SUPER continuous. That combination on this ball is ridiculous!

I’m not sure what format. Just whatever is already loaded into the program and then export the data with excel. Sanding this ball could be a very good heavy oil option in my opinion. Cover is strong!

you can really only compare hybrid/solid/pearl if the ball has the same coverstock base. A raw Pearl is going to hook later than a hybrid black widow for example.

I have the 14# Black Widow Pink, 3D Offset 15#, 14# Scorpion Sting, and looking to maybe add this one. I am a low rev bowler. Typically throw about 12-14 ball speed so not too hard. Do you think with your knowledge that this ball would make sense in my arsenal or is it similar to any of mine already? I want one with the HK22 coverstock and my husband swears I'd love the 3d offset attack

I started back bowling after about a 20 year hiatus and currently healing from foot surgery so on another small break. Before this, I started bowling with 15# to force me to not sling the crap out of it like I was beginning to do with the lighter ones and I'm really happy with the added weight. Seems like I get crazy action when I just slow it down and let the ball do the work. I also don't throw a straight ball for spares. I love playing with angles!

Just a note: The Audio on your videos is always very quiet compared the the average video on youtube. Consider Normalizing to -1 during editing.
