Yeah, it's kinda a pain. I don't think people realize it's a process. Everytime you scan an age restricted item lotto ticket, pack of cigarettes, alcohol in a newer system to check someone out it automatically asks for a drivers license. I work at a grocery store that has liquor store, so I gotta ask each customer for a rewards card every transaction and drivers license. Imagine doing that than the cust oh man I forgot I need a lighter after his card was ran and his transaction is over? I gotta go through all of that just for a lighter. 😂😂😂😂😂

Some places don't work like that. Heck the mom and pop liquor store I worked at the owner hated if we did any refunds or voided any transactions. Supposedly from what I've been told It's not a good look if your refunding stuff and voiding transactions to atf. I'm guessing to atf it seems like your laundering money through a liquor store best example I can give would be you know how Skylar was ringing up fake car washes to launder walts money into the car wash in the TV show breaking bad? well if your sitting there voiding stuff in your cash registers records itll show this, 1 or 2 voids ain't gonna break the world now having 20 plus voids in a day will break the world. Also I don't think the running to the car was the problem it's him coming back with a different countries money trying to pay for his bottle.

I once forgot to bring my wallet with me when going to the McDonald’s drive thru. Yes, driving without a license. But when I got there at the speaker I just said “Hold on, I forgot my wallet. I’ll just be right back” so I drive through and get my wallet, and wait in line again. I was courteous enough to tell them I forgot my card before I told them what my order is and potentially wasting food or letting it go cold.
