This is how I personally fixed my accidental touch screen problem on my ally x. This may not happen on your unit at all. It is not going to happen unless your thumb is randomly touching the screen like mine does on the right side. Some people may NEVER have this problem, but many will. If this problem bugs you please let me know below, share with a friend so it can help them too.

I have been using this method for 2 weeks now with zero issues at all. Hopefully one day we can find a way to implement this into armory crate or have specific games automatically disable when launched. I might have a way to do this so if You'd like to have specific apps launch disabled let me know and I will try that.

Glad you are able to find a solution. You can assign buttons on the shortcut to launch it and assign these combination of keys to your M1/M2 + any buttons to launch the program on both gamepad and desktop mode. That way you do not need to switch modes.

@@cppctek looks like shortcut keys works only on executable and not on BAT file. Yes it did not work on BAT file.

@@cppctek It is working now. I just a shortcut on the actual exe file and add the additional command from the BAT file on the shortcuts target after the .EXE file. Try it Bro.

This needs to be added to Armory Crate! Occasionally I would touch the screen while playing Fortnite and my character would point to the sky. Frustrated for sure. Thanks for this work around.

@crosfade3142 plug up a usb mouse or keyboard. Or press the armory crate menu and bring up keyboard , hit enter at login and type you pin or password

Heck yeah! Going to do this now! I hope they can build it into armory crate. Also, any idea on how to fix the left rgb thumbstick ring from turning off when you sign into windows? Seems to be a common problem that the left rgb ring just shuts off and i havent seen a fix for it

You can prob try disabling the windows lighting effects to see if that helps. Windows 11 has a new feature than can control rgb lighting. It could be interfering.

@@cppctek i have turned off all that in the personalization tab and in armory crate. O well, its fixed by using command center and switching through lighting effects and it comes back on then, just a mild inconvenience

Hey buddy I got forza motorsport working on the ally x wouldn't run on the og but I think it's as simple as having Bluetooth turned on . I read it on reddit !

Oh interesting! I haven’t played Motorsport in a few weeks on the Ally but I did have it working on both devices. I wonder if the update borked it. I’ll have to go check it shortly. Thanks for the tip brother ! I’m about to publish a mw3 settings for for the ally in a few mins

@cppctek I'm gonna try out your settings. Mine are a little different for controller settings. I thing use linear instead of default it's real sticky at distance. Atleast it was. I think my sensitivity is 6 instead of 4 its all preference though . I am gonna use yours when I get home next week . Dam Ally took a nap and quit downloading while I was sleeping. So I didn't get all my games I wanted downloaded . I learned about the setting in armory that keeps your device on for downloads . Lessened learned but istill got alot of games downloaded for my week at work but no Duty.

Hey bro what's a good glass to put on this thing I never bought cause I liked the anti glare thats on it already on it would gate to cover it if there isnt any that offer good anti glare. I got lucky and never scratched my og . Them screens are pretty dam scratch resistant. Or you think going without again is the answer I have 2 years geek protection.

Hey bro! i don't know if this is a common problem but.. do you know like how to change ROG Ally's Screen i just want to know is it hard to replace i have a little accident on my screen i just hope can i change my screen i see a replacement on a website called A-Accesories i seen you mods things so many times so maybe i think i could ask you

It’s possible but it’s very much a pain for most people. Motherboard has to come out. The screens are quite expensive. You might be better off finding a used or open box ally and transferring your stuff over to it and selling your old rog ally at a small discount. You’d save alot of money and time

There's a script tool that I downloaded created shortcut enable and disable buttons... Lol That's exactly what I downloaded something similar if not the same the other day

Heck yeah it makes it easy for sure. You can compile a script or make them or download them I’m sure many diff ways but at the end of the day whatever we can do to get asus to add this to the command center is key lol. I need this option so bad I’d pay for it lol 😂
