3:00 Actually tsb has that problem too, however the main difference is that it punishes ONLY if they hit you after a short dash. If they dashed a pretty long distance and then hit your block, the enemy will not be punished (and if you're gonna say "oh you just have bad internet" or "oh you just suck at the game" im gonna tell you that ive got 22k kills and average 60ms)

The reason I don't really like RR is a lot of the reasons you've spoken about. (no punishment for overextending, oneshots being super easy) What I'd add is that, especially for the Ultimates, (especially sung jinwoo) feel very bland for some reason. in a game like JJB (jujutsu beatdown) or JJS there are a lot of different techniques and moves that aren't just the basic four. Jinwoo just has a worse Shrine, and the 1 is literally just Flamewave Cannon from TSB. Another gripe with RR is that the moves sometimes feel like they don't serve that much of a purpose aside from being omega sweaty, such as base Jinwoos 3, which has pitiful damage and most of the time leaves you horribly out of position unless you have some random tech you googled. Overall, RR is a.... Meh game. It just feels like if you smushed 2 BG games together, and amplified it, including the bad aspects. Please leave your opinion in the comments, love to see if anyone disagrees or agrees, and why.

Honestly, I never found inconsistencies of me unable to punish front dash, which is strange, coming from a 130 to 200 MS on average player. Sung Jin wos third move isn't as bad as yall making it sound. Hell he's just as powerful as before, before you say "that's before the update" no. His third move is supposed to be used to FINISH comboes, you can't just throw it out. If im not wrong it kills below 15% which is INSANE. For how much damage it actually does. And his domain does seem to be on the weaker side, but it's not by all means useless, especially against other awakened players inside the domain, it would always Interrupt their attacks, since people on awakening, mindlessly spam. And running is not easy, and it could potentially waste their ragdoll cancel to. And judging the game by the WRONG character is also you not spending enough time on the game. Since katakuri, and goku, are the most bland characters we have right now. Goku is a completely transported from ki battlegrounds. Which not only NOT fit the game style (destruction physics due to his combo extender and dragon throw) its also lack of creativity. Thankfully they'll make a UI goku as a rework for him. Katakuri is a rip off from AnimeXshowdown, as most of his moves... actually all of his moves are, expect for his base 4, which is a grab functioning move. Plus, it has been confirmed that they was SOME stolen assets from animeXshowdown's katakuri by one of the owners of aXd, which he worked for the game to. Is the game bad? Absolutely not. Is the game good? Nope. Is it mid? Not in my opinion. Its above average, and definitely a top 5 in battlegrounds games IN MY OPINION.

@@_-MG-_ I would disagree, I played RR for 10 hours, which should be good enough to make some sort of argument against it. The reason why I did not mention Katakuri or Goku is due to them fitting into the one shot bullshit (hint hint katakuri hint hint) or me not wanting to mention that Goku is from Ki Battlegrounds, as it doesn't change how the gameplay of Goku feels in my experience with him (Goku was fun to play, just to nuke servers and clean house with while still feeling like it wasnt genuinely broken). Sung Jinwoo was the only character that felt like they genuinely just didn't have time to make a moveset that wasn't just a watered down and shitty character to play. If you use your 3 as a combo finisher, it still doesn't alleviate the fact that you lost your entire kit's range capability and now need to run away while waiting for cooldowns. Might just be how I played him though. To wrap this reply into a nice thread.. Katakuri was asscheeks, didn't mention him due to lack of enjoyment of playing and have the least time put in. Goku is fine, no need to mention him as he felt fun to play even if he was ripped from another game. Jinwoo still feels like unless you Google combos, he won't feel very fun to play, not to mention the snoozefest of an ultimate he has. I eagerly await your response.

Although, I don't see what you mean about range capabilities, when damn near every character specializes on close combat. Sure, dio has 2 projectile skills, but the throwing knives veriant is honestly not even useful due to lack of stun. And his awakening is definitely not that strong, and his domain is honestly just slightly weaker shrine. And honestly, I find it a good trade off. Weaker base for a stronger base. Just like garou in TSB, he's mainly known for his base, and almost everyone in the community agrees that it has the weakest awakening. Also his new R skill that got added recently, definitely added more thinking to the character. Now you can't summon the assist in the middle of no where since it has tons of start up. So, it's like a one time use thing, unless your opponent is for some reason giving you some HUGE space.

another biggest problem from rr is the m1 stun is too long, like, if they are doing a 3 m1 combo, they missed the 2nd m1 and you still cant block the 3rd m1 because of the long stun

Okay my problem with realm rampage is the fact that I noticed three things it’s based off of. 1 JJS the destruction physics is one of the only things that made it special. The fact that not even that long after JJS got hyped up for the destruction physics another comes out kinda suspicious not gonna lie. 2. TSB the combat obviously and animations leaning towards more serious like TSB. 3. Kinda a not as prevalent but the ult bar looks strikingly similar to Ultimate Battlegrounds but I digress. And all of that makes Realm Rampage less creative and more “inspired” like every other battlegrounds game. The reason JJS was special was because it brought new stuff and less sweaty it’s a game you can hop on to play and have fun. Realm Rampage took the aspect that they noticed JJS had that no other battlegrounds destruction physics and thought “If we use destruction physics and make it serious like TSB we’ll be the new story.” Then again that’s just my opinion and I expect comments saying something about me Yapping so go wild guys.

The point of the party feature I presume is for content ideas. Later as the game progresses, I think people will start to make content like tournaments or ffa's with teams. In those cases the party option is actually very useful as it allows you to help ur partner.

The game feels somewhat lonely. (YAP WARNING) Why does it feel lonely? Don't get me wrong, the Map is cool, yet very Massive. Though the maximum amount of players that can be in one server in this game is TWELVE. And honestly, this it what makes the game feel empty. Maybe they should increase it to 20, and if you disagree that it should be 20, your choice I guess. And also, the zip lines are cool and all, by there’s a lot to the point where they’re a bit of an obstruction. @stormArtificial I think dio's combo extender (his second move) is fine because it forces you to ragdoll the target to actually combo extend, so its easier to escape his combos vs if it was just a regular combo-extender. For Sukuna it is just hunter's grasp so its function doesn't need to change unless they want to change the moves purpose.

Realm rampage is solid, but i really recommend them to change all of the cutscene moves to non cutscene moves. They are very few, but it doesnt capitalize on the destruction physics. If you can notice, you can see there are zero moves in JJS that you cannot fully control (you can fully control where yujis black flash goes for example) it adds to the randomness and funny moments, and adds more replayability. Also the combo extender moves that send the player rolling back instead of rag-dolling them are so out of place.

Realm Rampage is basically a conjunction of things a majority of battleground games have like the dash and evasive CD indicator from hbg, cool vfx moves like a bunch of bgs, destruction from combat mayhem (made popular by jjs) for upd 1 I would say this is good, they definitely need to focus on changing the movement system and making it smoother, about the party thing, at least friendly fire exists.

Ah yes. Mr I don't give a shit about other players opinion, because mine matters, and want the game to suit me. No matter what you say, no play style should have "Encouragements", and if they do, they must be balanced with the other encouragements that the other play style provides. Passive players: They take less risk and play patient, for big reward (especially if you brainlessly front dash at them.) The down side, you wont do much damage, if the player catch onto your Passive play, because you won't do damage to someone who wouldn't make a move to make a mistake. And that causes you to make ANOTHER PLAN. Aggressive. You have a big risk of being punished for your aggressive play if someone reads you, but it has a big reward of being able to start combos more consistently. And guess what, THEY. BOTH. HAVE. THE. SAME. EXACT. REWARD SCALE. If your playing against a complete Passive players who's there to role play, I swear to god it feels far more satisfying to see them being forced to switch styles that their not comfortable to, just because you decided to play patient yourself and not attacks first. And hell, those that wouldn't fight, just walk away, I swear their ego would be shattered into glass. And if you fight a Actually GOOD Passive player, instead of saying "BlOcK sPaM" how about you acknowledge the fact you lost because you wouldn't notice your mistakes. and acknowledge the good aggressive player at making you turn Passive to handle his pressure. I myself switch styles mid combat, I play Passive first, to observe flaws of his aggressive plays, and then punish him for it with a combo, which will do a lot of damage, to make him switch to Passive, and then I check his flaws as in Passive by taking the risk of making a mistake by turning into aggressive. and if you remove aggressive plays biggest weakness, you'll be playing nothing but a dumpster fire of a balancing game. Call me a yapper, but play a real fighting game before doing such an idiotic hot take.

@@_-MG-_ There's reward for both, passive play just isn't fun to fight. That's just how it is, if it were like every other battlegrounds game with boat loads of end-lag for getting a dash attack blocked there comes 0 reason to play aggressive. The battlegrounds formula just allows holding back and block at the same time to give you what is essentially a turtle shell that paralyzes all who touches it. And as I said, dash attacks force you close together in neutral, getting an m1 blocked puts a ton of delay on other m1s which makes it very easy to counter. You don't even know how a majority of fighting games work to normally make passive playstyles difficult and still fun(blockstun) which battlegrounds games have none of. You block literally ANY blockable attack in most battlegrounds games and suddenly it's your combo. TLDR being combo'd for playing the game while the opponent just runs away and blocks attacks is stupid and lame. Trying to gain distance and block should NOT give you an advantage, they are neutral reset options because you already screwed up.

Most complaints I saw were either a skill issue, or something that only applied while playing on mobile. Easy solutions, stop being a brokie and get a pc or console, or just get good. The other complaints were people comparing it to jjs, which is just delusional. The combat is completely different and the attacks are better animated, not to mention that Sukuna is in the game and they only recycled like 2 or 3 moves. And while the map shares some similarities to the jjs map, if you look a little closer, you'll notice that its still a unique map. Yes it has destruction like jjs, but pretty much every battlegrounds game has some form of destruction, (or atleast every good battlegrounds game anyway.) In conclusion, you guys are just hating to hate. You're not special because you're hating on Realm Rampage, just because you're being different doesn't make you unique in any way. I'm sure theres something better you can do with your life than hate on a game, like spending some time with friends in real life, getting a job, finding a girlfriend/boyfriend, there's a lot of things you can do other than hate on Realm Rampage...

Tbh the map is waaay too big for 12 player(max palyer count in one server) they should make it smaller I only see 3 or maybe 4 people(if I am lucky) in a full server and when I wanna fight someone its always that 3-4 people because the map is so big. I literally spent 2 minutes trying to find someone to fight, I didn't wanna interrupt 1v1s so I just wonder around trying to find people to fight but nope can't find any so I use the best way to fight with somebody I wait around the dummy and attack them while they m1ing the dummy tbh they seem to m1 the dummy because they couldn't find someone to fight against so it's win-win......I think.

What I absolutely fucking DESPISE. Is the fact people still go "Oh My GoD, sAmE mAp, SaMe StYlE" Dawg, that's the LEAST DETAILED MAP LIKE JJS. To guess what? OPTIMIZE THE DESTRUCTION. IT COULD LITERALLY BE SO BAD, THAT EVEN BUILDERS IN JSS HAVE TO OPTIMIZE THEIR BUILDS. ADD A LITTLE BIT OF DETAILS TO THE GAME, AND YOULL BE RUNNING THE GAME ON A TOASTER AND NOT A PC. And what's crazy, is that the JJS meat riders who say it's a copy when it comes to destruction physics, their just mad that the game made it better. I'm not joking, the block size of those destruction physics in RR is bigger than JJS thus, reducing lag, prevent of making pile rubber get in the way of gameplay as much as JJS. And it's over all balanced. And when they say copying R specials, I get that excuse... UNTIL THEY REWORK GOKU. Because, goku has the same concept of a special as goku in JJS. But is it as unbalanced as JJS's? NO? It's a more fair and balance version than gojo's. Its not made to combo extend its made to dish out more damage as you end the combo unlike JJS, where it's made to extend OFF OF blue, which is ridiculous. In my opinion, RR is a top five in my list, it's a above average game at best. And JJS is top 6.

My biggest issue with the game is the blocking lock on shit, I can’t get a single hit in since all the dashes are too damn slow, or am I just meeting people with 100K+ kills in TSB? The main two reasons I personally dislike realm rampage is 1: the game didn’t like up to my hype (mostly because i hyped it up way to much) and 2: the fact that the skill issues I have (which normally comes way later in battlegrounds games) is wayyyy greater than normal and makes the game insanely unfun when I walk outside for 5 seconds and die instantly

5:11 jjs destruction physics is so much better. Whenever i fight i dont permanently get stuck in a wall in jjs meanwhile it happens so much in rr, also with enough knockback you can go through unbreakable walls. So jjs is much better with the physics

About the destruction phisics, me and my friends think that JJS's ones are better just because in Realm Rampage when you go trought a wall it braks and does not stop your enemy. In JJS the walls are thick enought to prevent this from happening and the broken parts are small enought and stay there preventing the enemy from you know escaping a combo ect
