Most people don't know to play jackal from the sheer fact that he is not pickable in all rank games, along with the utillity heavy meta, playing an operator that u dont know in rank is a risk many won't take.

@@hoji5108You know where you went and where they arent (assuming your using your brain), so now you know roughly where he is also, giving you information aswell. Jackal ISNT that great. He has ok guns and a decent ability… Lion has the best intel ability in the game with a good gun, ace has 3 hard breach gadgets that can be thrown quickly and then has the AK12 the best gun in the game. There are definitely better bans then jackal.

I remember I had a friend who once complained that operators like Caveria and Alibi were too powerful because of their roaming potential. It's not that those operators are too strong, it's that people never play Jackal. His kit is specifically designed to keep roamers in check. And now that Lion has been reworked, the reason to ban Jackal is purely out of spite from new/roamer players. I unfortunately don't think Jackal is changing anytime soon, but I hope that players realize that Jackal isn't broken good nor broken bad. He's designed to fit a purpose and he does that purpose well.

The clip at 2:11 reminded me of Ela's DBNO concussion and in turn Zofia's DBNO revive, makes me miss when Ubi experimented like that and made operators truly and UNIQUELY special. Not just Rooks armour having self res, but stuff like the running animations for Warden and Nokk, stuff thats not only incredibly creative but also made the operators unique and fun.

From every hero shooter, r6 is the most dry with it's charecters in the gameplay. No in game interactions with dialogues between charecters and there are only a few ops with unique reloads or traits

While solis needs a nerf, I’ve found solis countering a number of the strongest intel attackers such as lion, jackal, doke, iq, and even nokk. Its interesting how the game changes. I love playing cat and mouse with jackal. It adds a lot to this tdm meta. Nothing is better than outplaying a a team that leans on a jackal clear.

Its crazy how long I actually stopped playing siege for, I started early 2016 (March if I remember correctly) and stopped playing December of 2017 which was a month after White Noise came out. I then came back in March of 2020 which was when Iana and Oryx released. I stopped playing before the next season, and I came back again just recently because of Jynxzi. This video brought back some memories man.

The best way to describe it I feel is that all of the people who played when Jackle was busted told off of the new people coming into siege how broken he is which led to a never ending cycle of people just auto banning the “broken op”.

Whenever I see Jackal playable, no one uses him, and when he is being used, the people playing him are terrible at him. Whenever I play Jackal, I try to utilize the smokes to block sightlines and try to save the last ping for post-plant. Sometimes I get those ballsy Stewie2k smoke rushers/spammers.

Has a jackal main since his release, I can say that Jackal is a situational character but if use by and expert can be very dangerous. But like I said it has to be used by experts, in the hand of normal players is not that much of a threat.

I feel like a lot of operators are balanced and have other ops that do similar e.g. wamai and jaeger, kaid and bandit so since theres no outright op operator people ban ops who are more a nuisance or they dont feel like going up against, hence the clash bans too

IMO the most common reason an operator is banned is either they are overpowered/good (people ban what the pros ban), or that they are annoying to play against even if they aren't that good and have counters (thinking of clash). After Jackal got reworked Doki became the better option 9/10 times, the only downside is her not having an AR.

I started banning glaz with my squad cause the ban phase is such a joke. It’s always jackal thatcher clash the last ban recently has been fenrir but before that it was always between kaid bandit and echo I just don’t understand why ban phase is still a thing when we are just banning the same ops every map banning thatcher on a map like coastline doesn’t make any sense unless your going for vip wall that’s the only time you’ll have any strong use to consider a ban which in my opinion is definitely wasted

I mostly banned Jackal because I found him somewhat annoying to deal with when he's an enemy and not useful when he's an ally. I'm relatively new to Siege (Like 3 years? I think?) so I've been playing with exclusively the current Jackal. He's not that strong, but man is it annoying to be randomly pinged. Does it completely screw me over? Absolutely not. Quite often I find Jackals are so excited to actually play their op for once that they focus too much on the prints and get blindsided. With the change of Unranked to Standard (My friends and I want to play ranked but we don't have the time), I've been seeing him more often and I guess that's good, because he's not really that oppressive, and its nice for people who've wanted to play him. I still get a little pissy about it though. I don't like being hunted by a man with a foot fetish.

@aidan1750 for a long time Villa was the most balanced and competitve map. You have to think about when it came out. Doc, rook, maestro, echo all had acogs. Most attackers were using acog at that point. The meta rush of (pre nerf) Lion, dokk, (prenerf finka), blitz and ash was still a thing. Thatcher thermite were picked almost every round. Villa was easily the best map at the time. Also bare in mind people use to do library second and now it's rarely touched

if you design an Operator frustrating enough that he is almost a top ban despite having a subpar performance you simply have a shit design and need to remove / rework it massively. Jackal obviously introduces a gameplay that is not enjoyable and has no counter-play. Deimos does it much better, you are both revealed to each other which fulfils the same role but better, fairer and more engaging.

Caveira can counter him easily, also mute jammers or solis...there are enough counters if you really want to counter that...

CAV needs to be in silent step to avoid leaving steps to scan so that counters her because she can ONLY move while silent because she will get scanned. And mute jammers would force roamers to stay near site or specific areas where the jammer is, thus limiting roaming potential. Again, get jackal an ACTUAL counter or he's staying perma banned.

I’m fine with being tracked from a Cav interrogation but when it comes down to being tracked by a jackal I fucking hate it. At least Cavs doesn’t last as long and and it doesn’t show fuckin footprints. Automatic wall hacks and non stop foot tracking is so annoying especially if you get punished for walking around the map trying to set up for the attacking team incoming. Either remove jackal or rework his entire ability. Defenders should not be punished for walking around the map they are supposed to defend. Roaming is part of the defense and being tracked for roaming shouldn’t be a thing. Especially if it’s being tracked to your exact location by your own footprints. Edit: I also think that temporary wall hacks like lions wall hacks is fine since they nerfed it to shit but holy fuck wall hacks from jackal are so bad.

Jackals doesn't last as long if the footprints are older Red=5 pings Yellow= 4 pings Green=3 pings Blue=2 pings The color is based off of how old they are
