Bordeaux has the look and feel of a warmer, sunnier Paris. All that 18th stone and river-setting, you could be forgiven for thinking the first few Parisian arrondissements had been dragged 200 miles south. For me, Bordeaux clearly is lovely. Open, but with a manageable feeling of ‘see all my important bits in a day’. All it really lacked for me was a core of tightly packed narrow streets. Everything seemed like I was wandering around the French version of Edinburgh’s New Town when I wanted a bit of tumbledown Old Town magic too.

You're right . Only the Palais Galien is a ruin . Bordeaux is still beautiful but her very old past is gone forever 😭

@@derkescher266 it a bit far from the center of the city and the tramway is often jampacked due to the students but you can always get a bike it will make it easier as bordeaux is a very flat city
