Hey friend- cheers from my fish room and channel in Chicago, where I have a similar sized and scaped tank. But after almost two years the super bold hardscape has yielded to the soft lushness of myriad plants! Nature happens :)

Cheers my friend! Nature is funny sometimes on what works and what doesn't. I'll be injecting lots of co2 and ferts on this setup to help it along, so it should grow in nicely....we shall see though.

Dark start needs to ignore it and wait without doing anything after setup. Plant it immediately after setup need too much attentions by changing water everyday for 2 weeks 😅

That is true. I hated waiting for as long as I did, but it is much better than having to do all those water changes.

@@SimplyAquascaping During this dark start waiting period I will use the time to collect the plant I intended to use for the tank. Not every type plant we wanted to use will be available all the times 😄
