If you are looking for jaw dropping nature and having finally decided to come visit Bulgaria (good for you), then you absolutely cannot miss the stunning Seven Rila Lakes National Park. This was one of the most beautiful hikes that I have ever done and it really highlighted just how much Bulgaria has to offer and how diverse it is. This is such a beautiful place. 15 years ago my wife and I after having only met recently in person hiked to the first lake and camped there. At that time there were very few tourists coming up the mountain and there was no ski lift. We walked up there with our booze and our food and spent the night on the mountain alone. All I can say is that it was an incredible experience and when we woke up the next day the first lake was so calm that it was like looking upon glass. I took pictures with my digital camera which were incredible for what they were but I sure wish I would have had a better camera. The seven rika lakes in Bulgaria are an absolute treasure to the world and something that I will always remember till the day I die.

WOW! My jaw literally dropped after watching this! Bulgaria is a beautiful country and the people are truly blessed to have access to these scenic landscapes. Girl, thank you so much for wonderful videos! May I tell you of a more beautiful place with breathtaking nature in Bulgaria, that left the Korean National TV (KBS) crew speechless. It is Vacha dam, by Vacha river with the floating houses in it. My favorite place is Rodopi mountains where Vacha dam is situated too. So, next time visit it if you can! A place to remember. One more thing - try stay at "Starite kashti' hotel complex in Rodopi mountain (but u need really early reservation)! Enjoy!

I've got a secret to share...if you go to those lakes during the Summer, take your shoes off for a while and walk on the grass. Hi Alina and well done for the video. I am happy that you managed to see the Rila lakes. I have been there many times, but my favourite mountain is Pirin. I have been hiking every year since I was 5 years old (I am now 34), and have lots of experience in the hiking. In the future please make sure to put on better shoes (no sneeckers, no sandals). Please make sure to buy proper mountain shoes/boots. The reason for this advice from my side is, because you can really injure your feet. In the mountains there are many rocks and uneven places, where you can easily step in the wrong way. With the mountain shoes you will be better protected. Also make sure to have a map of the mountain with you. Otherwise, well done. :)

Loving the vids, they have a very natural feel to them which makes them far more immersive. If you're still in BG I'd highly recommend a visit to the Belogradchik Fortress in the north west, not only is it a stunning piece of history, the rock formations and views are incredble. There's also a 5km hike/cycling path with viewing platforms which is well worth doing. Foodwise there's a great Serbian restaurant in the town, about a 20 minute stroll from the fortress. We stayed in Castle Cottage which sits just below the fortress, by no means a modern hotel but full of character with a great balcony area giving views all across the town and lovely owners.

Incredibly beautiful scenery. Thank you very much for this. FYI: 2,900 meters... If you're that high, close to 10,000 feet, it's a very difficult feat - Above 8,000 ft, your body starts telling you there's something wrong with the air. The “thin” air has considerably less oxygen and pressure. The highest point in the Canadian Rockies is Mount Robson at 3,900 m. The highest I've even been is 670 m. Anyway, whenever I saw the 7 lakes I wanted to grab rod 'n reel and find out what's in them lol

I always start hiking from the parking lot while all of my friends are on the queue for the lift! So I wait for them at the last station near the Big white guest house! Then the reward is to eat at the top of the lakes (kind of windy place :D) and watch all that beautiful landscape! Its really amazing hike and an unforgettable view! Your vlogs are awesome! Поздрави!
