Retired after working in civil service for 28 years and loosing the opportunity to promote because of speaking out against stupid leadership. I hate to say this but what we are watching occur in this country right now I predicted 15 years ago. When you lower your standards and then hire yes men, that will agree to everything there supervisor say, because they want to promote and do not want to ruffle any feathers. If those in the public with common sense saw the level of incompetence in higher ranks of both fire and police departments they would loose their minds.
