DOTS Hunting Bug: Two games in a row I had two Banshees that started hunting inside the DOTS Projector. You could see it start walking down the stairs in Grafton in DOTS form, then it disappeared and was completely silent. I stood watching by the dining table and the guy next to me just turned to me and said "It's a Banshee" and immediately started choking. I must've not been the first target cause I didn't die and ran away. The same silent DOTS hunt happened on Willow the next game. It was again a Banshee so I started thinking it was a Banshee bug. I have been scanning the phasmo forum on steam looking for anyone experiencing this but haven't seen it mentioned except in your videos, Insym. I think one in the challenge started as DOTS? Shit is creepy and bugged as hell, but also kind of cool if it could be harnessed in the right way.

this is a bug for any ghost. if it starts a hunt while visible in dots form it will hunt invisible. happened to me while it was a deogen.

The noise level is precisely why I never use tier 3 DOTS. It is SOOO damned loud that it drowns out the ghost throwing or touching things. So I stick with tier 2 DOTS.

It'd be nice (but not a priority) if the Shade's failed interactions counted as ability uses in the end game stats. It'd be interesting to see the sum of blocked events, interactions and hunts that the Shade wanted to do but couldn't.

Idea fer a new challenge- Phasmo Bingo. It could be fun gettin' the community to submit ideas fer bingo squares. The free square could be encounterin' a bug. Other squares could be witness (insert ghost) ability, complete a contract on (insert large map), get an achievement, use max amount of wishes on monkey paw. Lots of possibilities fer bingo reuseability.

Speaking of hiding spots. For some reason, I've died multiple times in the Willow garage shelves hiding spot (near the mirror location). It looks like it should be a fine hiding spot, but the ghosts seem to walk into the mirror corner somewhat often. Compared to the Ridgeview fridge that I think I've died in once, it's pretty bad. The utility room is worse though since hiding behind the central shelves, basically out in the open, is always safer than that "hiding spot."

I was obsessed with phasmo when it came out then I was in the hospital awhile because I had two strokes- I just started playing again and I just got to lvl 100!!! I don't know if I should prestige or not tho lol To prestige or not to prestige-that is the question 😂 thanks for all the awesome vids n streams!❤

The ridgeview foyer/dining room area is one of my least favorite ghost rooms in the whole game, right up there with the high school gym. In one tiny little area, you've got hallway / toilet / utility / basement / dining room / living room / foyer / kitchen. Freezing temps are so hard to find in these rooms if the ghost wanders around at all, and it seems like ghosts do a lot of room changes for me in these rooms.

I play Phasmophobia with a friend who is trying to stream on Twitch. One day we had 2 demons use their abilities, a yurei ability, and a hyperactive Raiju. This game is so fun and unpredictable as to what kinda of ghost you get. However this volume problem makes it difficult to hear where some things are like radios. Recently we had a Yurei use it's ability twice back to back.

At 4:18. I had that happen to me a year ago-ish. It was The Twins, and I could only assume that The Twins' ability kept getting set off by one doing an interaction and then a back and forth. It lasted a minute on the activity.

You can't get the Banshee achievement in multiplayer when you are alone (just tested). I think DOTS hunt is deeper than what we know: a Raiju did it even if my T3 DOTS were off

I don't think it's related to having the dots item present. I think it's more a state for the ghost? So if it's a dots ghost it'll choose to enter dots state regardless of whether it's near a dots sensor or not. Similarly to how an EMF ghost can give EMF 5 on anything that causes EMF (as seen on the chart), rather than it just being detected by the evidence item.

As someone with an almost crippling fear of fans, the part where he stuck the character's head inside the oscillating fan was not the most pleasant experience. Good video regardless, though. 😅

Recently Onryo gave me an EMF 4 on a lighter (tier III). No matter how long I tried, I couldn't reproduce it : / I haven't sent a bug report yet, as I don't know if it's a bug or not, that you can photograph the Goryo on dots; It seems that the lighter does not stop Onryo hunting, although it acts for him as a source of flame, which he can extinguish and use his ability. I'll double-check it again, but I think it's a bug; There is a bug that the player quickly manages to light the incense, but the ghost still manages to kill the player, even if there was a host; If you use Tarot cards right at the beginning of the hunt, they cannot be discarded or changed in the inventory. I literally couldn't do anything, and the ghost checked the hiding spot where I was sitting and killed me, even though I was sitting there before the hunt with the electrical equipment turned off; The ability of the Yokai is not counted in the statistics again. In addition, his ability works for a while even after no one is talking nearby; Goryo sometimes goes into the next room for a long time, which is why the temperature in it can drop significantly even to +2. All players are confused by this and they think that the ghost changed his favorite room when technically it was not so, which will be confirmed by statistics. Of course, I understand that this is not a bug, but it seems to me that this is still a bit strange behavior for Goryo; You can photograph the lighter as an Interaction, but that's not even the point. When you put the lighter in the inventory, the Interaction timer for it is suspended, which is why it can be photographed after a long time and still get an EMF, as well as a photo of the Interaction. And the strangest thing is that finding these bugs can be quite interesting!

You're talking about how broken it is. The past few weeks, I have had issues with the salt. I put the salt down, I'm next to look, I am looking at it, and then I see it pressed down, no noise, no step, just like if I had stepped out of the room and came back in to find it walked through. This happens with both non-fingerprints AND fingerprints ghost. I can't have "missed it" because I am staring right at it. It is extremely annoying because we had back to back "3 stars footprints" weekly challenge and I have tier one item (just prestiged), So I only have 6 salt per game and if half of them are wasted because of this bug, it's really really getting on my nerves

One thing that does worry me, is that as updates are added, and new bugs come up, is that several old bugs will rear their heads at the same time, possibly causing the game to either become much more difficult, or downright unplayable. I truly, sincerely, pray they test thoroughly before making any super big changes, because sometimes I feel like they set the bar, then it's obvious that maybe they rushed a little on playtesting once launch happens for some patches.

I swore i thought only my game or my headphone is having a problem when there are so many occurance with me can't hear the ghost at all or some furniture that ghost interact 😭 There's a bug that i also get pretty frequently is when you crouch running while holding things in your hand, it's sorta pushing your character to go side way while walking straight

So few videos before this video,Insym gave some tips to newcomers. Let me convey it to you: 1) Always interpret a ghost event as a ghost hunt and run away when it starts blinking. The maximum that will happen is you will miss out on a ghost photo. Take notes of what happens during the start of an event and a hunt and try to use that in your gameplay. 2) Always keep the lights on as they stop your sanity from draining and is extremely useful for getting extra time to find the evidences. 3) Don't try to loop ghosts until you have analysed every time of speed properly. Hiding is the best option. 4) Always try to keep Smudge Sticks with you to help you from unexpected hunts/hunts from unexpected locations Additional Fact: 5) Freezing breath doesn't mean Freezing temperatures. Freezing breath will appear once the temperature goes below 5. Non-Freezing ghosts cannot give temps less than 1.0Degree Celsius. So as soon as the temps get to 0.9 or less it's a freezing ghost

That room in the entrance I think is a part of the kitchen, I had a kitchen goryo that switched to that room.

What would be the difference between this and an all evidence challenge (Where all the ghosts have all the evidence types)? Would that be hard to code in? I'll like that more than removal of all evidence types from all ghosts.

Depends on how it's coded. Some ghosts are easier to detect like Obake or Goryo, but Mimic is also more difficult. Overall it would be easier by a bit I think.

So I had heard that those green folders that are always in the kitchen of every map are a way of extra money if you bring it back to the truck cuz it's like an insurance folder. But then others say that folder doesn't matter. Does it have a use or not?

So you can see at 7:49 before the hissing sound comes a white ball. The ghost events where a white ball touches you and makes a hissing sound is called a Airball ghost event. Oni can't do Airball ghost events at all. They can do all events but Airball
