If you thought this EV was bad my older cousin bought a 2023 electric mini cooper SE and then she gave me her old 2011 sonata as my first car and the mini cooper only goes 114 miles on a single charge whenever my cousin comes to our house she literally has to use our garage to charge her car

i think that evs should exist as a option not a requirement its not the car brands its the government forcing these evs on the road if they didnt they would be better + the environment laws also ruin everything they dont allow a slightly big gas/diesel trucks but they allow 20 gas chugging air polluting semi trucks in a residential neighborhood zone. thanks "government"

The range is terrible, here in the Bay Area people live in multi family units and it’s hard to charge a car. The charge stations are way overpriced 80 90 dollars to charge a car. It’s such a huge inconvenience to own an ev.

At that price, I would rather fill my Full-Sized v8 for $90. There would be more stations and take less than 5 minutes to fill.

3000 miles $26k? So at only 6k miles it will roughly be worth $13-$14,500 but still with a terrible range.😂 That’s not a well thought out center console design with the shiny plasticity, fingerprint and dust magnet with extra feature of blinding you in the sun. The gauge cluster location sucks as well. Haha!

I'm sure Subaru will learn from their mistakes and their next EV will be better. Everybody makes a clunker from time to time, even Toyota and Honda.

Then what I would love to see when you do an EV. Is give us charging times. Like for example. If you charge a Tesla at a 70 kW charging station you will get 100 miles in 45 minutes. And then the EV review that you do on the other manufacturer. You can say you will be charging at an EV go but to get extra amount of miles will take two hours something like that. Do not include charging at home. I think most people are interested in what does it take when you buy one of these compared to another EV electricthat would be helpful for me and I’m sure a lot of other people. That outside of Tesla you can only charge at stations that hold or give out 35 kW.

Yeah!? Regenerative braking means friction braking is used far less frequently and thus would likely almost never wear out, certainly not before the drive batteries.

you're completely wrong. you get a lot for the price of the car or suv subarus offer. actually it's one of the best selling brands right now. idk how you can say its not worth the money. compared to to other brands they start at a great price point, at $28K for an entry level Impreza. go to any subaru lot and you won't see any cars priced over $55K and that would be for top of the line ascent. maybe do some research before you give an opinion. just saying.

@@1heavyelement I bought a subaru impreza about 10 years ago. 2012 Impreza Sport Limited with the lovely blue/silver two-tone. Was pretty excited about a comfy roomy hatchback that could get great mpg with awd. Had more quality problems with it than anything else I've ever owned (mostly Honda). Ate multiple wheel bearings in the first 3 years. Oil consumption problems that Subaru would not fix. Seat squeaks from poor design (spring cushions made of PAPER that rubbed and wore through). The CVT transmission was inconsistent in its shifting and power delivery. Sometimes it would feel pretty peppy and other times like driving through maple syrup. Advertised 36mpg highway, highest was 32mpg after really trying hard but mostly 28-30mpg. Average daily-driving tank was around 26-28 mpg. The thing looked great and I really liked it but there were so many little problems that I would never do it again. Ultimately it was totaled by a freak hail storm (2-3" balls falling at 120mph, every panel damaged, looked like a golf ball when the storm was over, lol) so we took the insurance and got a 2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L. Funny thing is, the MPGs of this giant van aren't that far below what the little hatchback offered, daily is 22-24 vs 26-28 and highway is 28-30 vs 30-32, and it has a TON more power space comfort safety. Best swap ever and I don't see myself ever going back to subaru.

it needs 2 charging ports, one on each side; in fact all EVs need 2 charing ports... would you rather have a Mazda EX-30, Kona EV, 500e, MINI SE, Leaf, or one of these twins? I ultimately blame CA for making automakers rush product development and half-ashed vehicles to market. Until we get nuclear powered EVs that generate 1.21 gWhrs, we will have to grow into EVs with longer ranges. my daily round trip commute is 62 miles. I would need to plug in every other day. and possibly every day in the winter to ensure environmental controls can keep me and the batteries comfortable.
