93,000km on my Gen 1 Tuono R Limited and it's still going strong. I've been everywhere on it from Gibraltar to Nordkapp without any problems. Next year I'll be taking it to Iceland and the only mod I'll do is fit a set of Dunlop Mutant tyres to handle the gravel roads. Can't wait.

Bought one spontaneously at a dealership when test riding other bikes. Just saw her standing amongst all those new bikes, shiny red and dirt cheap with 20k miles on her. After the first ride I really thought she would kill me. As it turned out she‘s not a killer but a teacher - if you show respect. She demands focus every second of spirited riding but she made me a far better rider. I will never ever sell her because I fell in love.

I have a gen 1 Tuono racing. It's the most amazing bike I've ever owned! You're completely right. It's really special!

I have Tuono gen 1 as my weekend motorcycle. It is basically a superbike with handlebars. That 50-120km/h acceleration is addicting but after 100km I am ready for a coffee break to stretch my legs, being old :) Nice review.

Hey guys. I come from a Triumph Daytona 955i (a great bike), and changed to a Tuono Gen 1. Bought it 9 years ago and I get crazy every time I drive it. Definitely, not a bike for everyone, as you said, it is too harsh. But the happy few who have the skills to get on one, will know what adrenaline can do to you in a few seconds.

Nice video review I have the tuono Racing version of the gen1 Tuono which has lightweight wheels full ohlins (excellent suspension on rough roads) all carbon bodywork and updated brembos, it is an absolute joy. I don’t get the comments about it not being comfortable as it’s all day comfortable, I sold my RSV mile r to get it partly for the comfort. It’s not a dangerous bike if you are used to riding analogue machines ( I’ve never owned anything with abs or traction control and have never had a problem.) That can sounds obnoxiously loud, my stock pipe sounds good but doesn’t give me a headache if you wear earplugs. Despite being a big v twin the fuelling is (or should be) incredibly smooth and linear and is better than many more modern bikes in that regards. If you are really keen watch the App workshop videos. Lots of great info.

The normal bikes with Showa/Sachs suspension are pretty hard compared to the Ohlins (i have both)

Gen2 2008 tuono factory for me. Owned since new. I will NEVER sell this bike. No electronic aids, no ABS, no Anti wheelie, no traction control, put it on a weight loss, 430lbs full of fuel and damn brutal. Actually, the power is so brutal that 16 years later still scares the crap out of me. Just a mean Rotax engine and a set of OZ racing wheels mated to Ohlins

@@FreeMilesMC If you ever get a chance... would love to see you review the CFMoto 450 MT or the new R.E Enfield Himalayan 450.... 2 bikes I am looking at and hoping to get either (or the CRF 300 Rally) later this year after I get around to getting my License. :)

you would get another 50ish horsepower out of it if you rev it more than 6k...it revs to 11! also, the rear brake is for wheelie-prevention and racetrack-gravel :) no need to be good.

Love my gen2R. Easy to ride, composed, forgiving, and fast😂 ive got a k8 gixer, which is a bit quicker, but is also more challenging to ride fast. If you're coming from inline 4 sportsbikes then the top end power wont seem that impressive(although very good for a twin)......low/mid range however has a lot of extra torque and instantanious grunt that inline 4's just dont produce. Ive had, and ridden many bikes over the years, and Tuono's just have this way of encouraging "good progress"....(or maybe i just misspelt hooliganism!)
