Targeted ads are just that targeted. For marketing purposes, they are trying to increase sales but with ideological ones they often focus on their opposition. Alcohol and schedule 1 substance abuse is very high where I live so I get ads promoting both the sale and rehabilitation from said things. I also get really off-the-wall stuff sometimes.
