As an avgeek, I was SO infuriated by the hijackers when they said to keep altitude and not descend, everyone knows that if you have no engine power and you pull up, you STALL, and if you stall with no thrust, you basically cannot pull back up because you won’t gain enough speed to pull back up even if you were 35000 feet above unless you intentionally nose dive, but even if you nose dived, you would lose speed while pulling back up. You would have NO way to keep altitude or not descend.
