I also inherited my dad's FD 70-210, though I primarily use it for film photography on my own Canon A-1. It's astonishing to me just how good that lens is and how creamy it renders the background while also offering a bit of swirly bokeh in the right conditions

I use a ‘vintage’ Nikon 70-210 F4 and I love it. Use it a lot in my shoots, as my only other lenses are kit lenses lol.

Love the enthusiasm! Also that you give a good idea of what CAN be done with these lenses. I've got a couple of older "film" lenses (I have a stack of adapters) but it took me a while to work out what to expect and the need to use them for what they are best at! Too used to modern lenses, I guess. I'm beginning to love the ones I have and any new suggestions are welcomed!👍

I have the Tokina 28-70mm f2.8 with screw hood mount and shiny body. it's a wonderful lens! almost all the time on my Lumix S1 or S5iix. I would recommend the one with Nikon F mount as it has aperture ring. You don't need the electronic, just the optic. If you go with the Canon EF mount, there is no aperture ring and once the electronic breaks (say the flexi cable being ripped), you have no way to control the aperture.

very nice set for A7S 👌. i use new-fd since 2012 on hybrid and since 2016 on a7S mk1. 135mm 2.0 new-fd is again today my favorite 135mm. A bit too soft wide-open, but, focusing and ergonomics about that, this is my favorite 135mm just for that. i haved the same tokina for some years, mine was really to soft at 70mm, but yeah, very nice lense. FD 70-210 F4 is become very popular theses five last years. I hope try it.

I have a Vivitar 70-150mm f2.8 I got for $20-something on eBay and a Olympus-to-EOS adapter ($12), it’s the same style zoom as that and it’s been interesting to learn to use zooming and focusing! Cool old lenses, cheap and effective! for around $30

I picked my Helios 44-2 for 25€ xD Also have the Tokina, but because mine is EF I cant change the aperture on it (the eletronic contacts are non functional and I'm adapting to Fuji because I left Canon)

I do not have the vintage lenses in your video but I do have these that are similar: 70-210mm f/3.5 Vivitar F-mount 28-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor F-mount 55mm f/1.8 Fujinon M42 mount 135mm f/2 Nikkor AIS F-mount

@@FoxTailWhipz 28-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor F-mount -- Great midrange zoom. It is the key member of my 14-24mm f/2.8 and 80-200mm f/2.8 three zoom lens kit. 70-210mm f/3.5 Vivitar F-mount -- Great telephoto zoom. Used it until I upgraded to the 80-200mm f/2.8 Nikkor autofocus. When the autofocus broke, I put the manual focus Vivitar back into service. 55mm f/1.8 Fujinon M42 mount manual focus -- Great lens. It is an important member of my Fuji X-Pro2 APS-C digital lightweight vacation/travel lens kit which consists of a 23mm f/2 Fujinon auto focus lens and a 12mm f/2 Rokinon manual focus lens. 135mm f/2 Nikkor AIS F-mount -- One of my favorite waist-level, head & shoulder, and tight-face portrait lenses. The 85mm f/1.4 and the 105mm f/2.8 are the other two I use.
