Thank you so much for the information, Max; as for me is too late. 5 years ago I bought a 2013 model in Méjico, and I'm staring to hear the sound of a faulty time chain at 60K miles. Needless to say, I'm fucked! ...and, sure enough, the leaking sunroof issue was present in my car; but I was able to find a guy that repaired it for very little money. Any way, best of luck to those who own a bmw; this will be my only and last car from this brand.

So my 2014 X3 with 100k miles , which has had no timing chain issues because BMW fixed the issue before it was built, and has had no other issues other than the usual maintenance items like oil changes , brakes and filter changes, is a one of? Well, i consider myself very lucky indeed. Oh, and my 1999 Z3, my 2018 530E hybrid, BMW i3 electric which run flawlessly are also flukes. My, my.

Well, the petrol one doesn't have problems with EGR. That's for sure
