Not knowing how to lead properly is the base problem to soooo many other issues we see with horses (trailer loading, tying, lunging, refusing, etc). Does this help with horses that tend to freak out even more when they spook and hit the pressure from the lead rope?

We recently had some VHS recordings digitized, so I just watched myself training a colt to lead in 2004. Ugh, embarrassing. I got it done, but Isidro's method shown here would have saved me some wear and tear and a few moments of me skiing behind a colt in the round pen. 🤦‍♂ The small pen vs. doing this in a larger round pen appears to be an advantage so the horse doesn't have room to bolt, or would this likely work as well in a large pen?

Small pen first, then take to big pen. Don’t work harder than you need to :)

My horses lead just fine and not once have I ever used a flag. All the flag waivers of the world would have to go home if they forgot their flags. Yet another flag waiver....
