I use a voice command, TRRRROT, in the round pen. It transfers over to trot in hand and then to trot under saddle. Same with canTER. They can learn more voice cues than just whoa.

@@kimfroman2023 glad that works for you. I prefer to use a click and kiss, I have found transfers easier when competing.

I love this video! Great explanations and so much better than showing on an old hand horse. I very much wish we had captions for those of us with hearing issues tho. I'll watch regardless, and I'll help my friend understand bc its worth it.

When I was dating my husband, his jealous brother kept asking me the same stuff until the mother stepped in and said to the second son, well, isn't that what most women want.

I was just about to comment on the horse’s head position when you mentioned it. Some top level trainers say you have to walk facing in the direction you want the horse to go but here is this little guy paying close attention to Isidro regardless of Isidro’s position. IE is my favourite trainer.

Kudos ma'am, you made a wonderful horse! IMO, it's less about what goes wrong as it is about the horses reaction and recovery. That horse showed repeatedly what a solid mind she has. Anybody would be very fortunate to have her. Disappointing that being gaited worked against her - it's like criticizing someone for having an accent. Just plain wrong. If I may ask, where is she now?
