I like pozole mostly for the hominy grains with lettuce used for coleslaw and radishes and a little lime, don't care for meat. It is filling and you feel the ingredients breaking into body cells you don't feel bloating or have feelings of over eaten.

1) if not eating human flesh in your soup is “controversial”, you have serious problems and need to recalibrate your moral compass. 2) pork was used because pigs are easy to raise and were a meat heavily used in Spanish culture.
