@@musashi-san____1409 some of you here don't know the meaning of prehistoric and are using the wrong word. what you mensos are probably trying to infer is pre-colombian times, before the arrival of the Spaniards. There was already written history before the arrival of Cortez, many tribes like the Mexica, Mayan, Mixtec, Zapotec, etc.. have codices that have been discovered since day one.

Imagine, without the kitchen, fiiltered water, without stainless steel, or propane, without a machine sharpened knife, preparing and eating it oudoors late at night around a campfire after a hunt, The effort put into it and what becomes of it is then valued so much more. Appreciated beyond measure. Knowing that something so simple and enjoyable is only possibke through a LARGE group effort was only made possible by GOD, NOT PBS, and people like you. Thank you.

1) if not eating human flesh in your soup is “controversial”, you have serious problems and need to recalibrate your moral compass. 2) pork was used because pigs are easy to raise and were a meat heavily used in Spanish culture. The conquered people adopted the same eating habits. Good grief y’all are trying too hard. Just eat the soup and enjoy it. Not everything has to be a victim story 🙄
