if you ever need to sink a ship hiding in port, build like 4 carriers, fill them with the best naval bombers you can design, then manually move them into a sea tile within range of the port and assign the planes to port strike the relevant air zone. I think most people don't know you can use carriers as floating airbases if they don't have a mission assigned.

Thats how you're able to invade the west coast as Japan in 1943+. just move your 1940 carriers (since your other ships probably dont have the range) and port strike their fleets until they have to repair/they move to another port out of range in the californian sea zone, then invade with gorrilions of men

Japan declared war on Yugoslavia because their Join the Tripartite Pact focus will have them join another fascist faction if the Axis doesn’t exist. And on historical, Yugoslavia does this without getting rid of Anti-German Military which causes a coup where they leave the faction and the faction leader can get a war goal against Yugoslavia.

But Crusader Kings 1 and 2 require fascist and communist paths respectively, and those trees are mutually exclusive with each other. that's why I'm curious as to how isp will do it, either as one video or two.

7:18, I’m late (and I’ve answered this before), but the Yugoslav tree doesn’t do “if you do this Germany declares war on you”, it does “if you do this [insert fascist faction leader] declares war on you. Usually this ends up being the Germans, and if not them then often the Italians, but sometimes it’s the Japanese as they are the only fascist faction leader. In this case it was also a decision which triggered the war.

i sinked the hood as fascist france with medium frame naval bombers on port strike, you need medium frame cause theyll put their fleets in port so far away in the island the small frame cant reach it, also, when the ai detects youve got airforce on port strike, theyll always reshuffle the fleet and change ports so having a close to 100% naval intel with spies is really recommended to see where uk stacks task forces

If you want to wipe out a navy like that, you need spotters. 1 light cruiser with planes and radar + 4 destroyers set to patrol will work. 8 destroyers can work in a pinch, even subs. But having 45+ spotting really helps and you can only get that from a cruiser. Make several flotillas of these, put them on patrol and set your battle line to strike. The spotters will find whatever is out there without engaging (hopefully), and then the battle line attacks. Set spotters to either never engage or engage at low risk depending on what kind of advantage you have. And high priority for repair, as well as not having them spit off to repair like you would with subs. You can lure the enemy fleet out by having subs do convoy raiding, and having destroyers on convoy escort. If they are being stubborn, or don't have any convoys left to raid or defend and the fleet isn't coming out, send naval bombers to port strike and the AI will move the fleet. Make sure to have spotters waiting for it. Sometimes spotters will follow a fleet into port and essentially a blockade will happen with your fleet showing up to wait for it. This has the disadvantage of your fleet not being able to attack anything else unless you manually move it back to port. There's no way to control when this happens as far as I know. Hopefully this helps someone...
