One of the most effective ways to do so is overloading one side of the floor (particularly in one of the corners. Another one of the many ways to beat a 3-2 is to have your best shot-creator/mid-range shooter iso, get to the nail and hit shots. This is why I cringe when I see coaches (HS and above) call zone.

@@chaddotdot5469 The point is is they disguise a basic 122 trap to look like a 2-3. 1 2 2 traps is the most versatile zone and can basically be rotated to look like a 2-3, 3-2, 221 etc. But its depending on your guards stamina and ability to basically have iron lungs

If you and your team are finding ways to score and they keep running the same thing they're definitely bound to get a 3-in-the-key. But if the opposing team is rotating between their spots properly, your team has to be firing on all cylinders to constantly score. It's doable for sure, it's just a tough task to complete.

i remember one time in 8th grade, i went on a field trip to some type of park hangout thing. An AAU team with majority white players but a few black came to play at the courts with their white coach for whatever reason and the coach had his two children (one boy, one girl) with him. These kids were no older than 10, and im sure the daughter was the older one. They were walking around the court looking for a 2v2 and my friend and I finally accepted it after watching them destroy another 2 from my school. The girl’s jumpshot was so fundamentally flawless and their ball movement and handle were untouchable. You couldn’t dribble the ball near them cause they were like scavengers. Needless to say, we got done the same way as the other 2 and I even got blocked by the daughter. She was about a whole foot shorter than me.

So accurate. I played travel BB for two years in HS and I was the least experienced guy (literally just picked it up for those two years). The team I played for was entirely made of homeschoolers, but we were one of the best teams in the league for Varsity, JV and even our two mod teams (in those two years, JV was the only team that didn't place 1st for the season. But they got it the second year). I was mod 1 and 2, and we were the all the white boys with a superstar. Two of our most difficult games were against the all black ringers of an inner city school. We won the two matches we had that season against them, both only by 1 point (76-75 & 72-71). Mad respect for those guys, even if they were older than us. No shortage of excitement and suspense.
