From my perspective this is completely true. When I lived with my parents, we would leave trays of food out for some of the stray cats who lived nearby, they were always polite, quiet and minded their business. But then the local flock of ducks who lived a block away would come waddling into our yard, quacking and making a big racket to eat every single last piece of cat food, take baths in the water dishes, then leave great steaming piles of goopy duck poop all over the porch before leaving. They are truly hateful animals in my experience. Cute though.
