Matt, you just saw the last version of the Testarossa ('redhead' in Italian, because the big valve covers on the 4.9L flat-12 are bright red), the F512M. The earlier cars were the 512TR, all basically the same engines and 5-speed boxes as far as I know, but the F512M had some titanium con. rods and a higher compression ratio, so it was rated for about 470HP vs. the 428HP of the TR. I'll still take the TR though, because I'm old and flip-up headlights are still cool!

Hello, hey funny story, my dad was in the Army in 1957 station at Amarillo Texas, he was in transportation, not sure of all details, but he told he 2as at the shop one day and a Captain came in and told him to move the half track out and put the General's brand new 57 Chevy in to be gone over. Well he was the only one there so he told the Captain he could not move half track out with out a spotter, he then told dad move it out, well he did and backed right over the 57 Chevy. Watching your video and seeing the half track and 57 Chevy I had to laugh. Great video can't wait until tomorrow. God Bless you and your family.

Just to clarify..the glove gun was actually designed for SeaBee Units working in the Pacific Theater during Worl War 2. The idea was that the Japanese had a really bad habit of popping up in areas that they were not supposed to be in. SeaBee units were often tasked with clearing out debris and expanding areas for air fields, etc, and they were not always able to get to their gun when a Japanese soldier would drop in on them. So, the SeaBee could punch the bad guy with the glove gun and go from there. They weren't the most effective and they weren't made in large numbers, but kind of a neat idea for its time.

the F512 was the testarossa .. the M model comes from modena that was the lighter chassis and better breaks made to compete in leman's and other 24 hour race's .. anyway.. id say 500k is a bit low for the total number of those cars surviving till this day.. after all f40's and even f50's are nearly double that .. and the 512m was their pre model. But then again.. its hard to tell how much one goes in actions.. often depends on who has owned the car prior and how original it is. Not to mention are there bidding war on some premium vehicle… or not.

Flying private aircraft is always interesting. With a Lear 35 you can fly from an airport north of Dallas to San Antonio in 40 minutes. Or, in the case of when Dallas hosted the Super Bowl, you can hear an air traffic controller have an absolute meltdown due to traffic and bad weather as well as see wealthy people begging for food at the FBO at 3am. It beats cattle class on Southwest. Fly the friendly skies!

OffTheRanch Matt, The Sedgley glove was not for trench warfare, it was designed for the OSS as an “assassination” weapon intended for the weirdly specific use case of killing an enemy officer trying to arrest you aboard ship/submarine. The idea being that you have your hands on your head so the gun is hidden and when the enemy officer gets to you, you punch him in the head, actuating the plunger trigger. I can’t imagine how useless a single shot, smoothbore pistol would be in the chaos of a trench raid? Or how many trenches you’d find in the middle of the Atlantic ocean? 😄
