Years ago, I used to stay at the HoJo off the strip near the Tropicana to save a few $ (no resort fees, as you say), actually on Tropicana Blvd I believe. Hookers would call randomly and act like they already knew you, in an effort to hook up for pay. Cop cars would be in the parking lot at least once a day, day or night. Next to it, there was one called 'America Hotel' or 'Americana Hotel' or something? Same deal. Shitty vehicles, bad or closed pools, and shady folks gathering in groups. It seemed both of these places were being used as long-term rentals by locals who couldn't get an apartment in town. Probably 5-6 people staying in each room each night to split the costs - and probably sharing drugs and .... 'other things.' I stayed at CC once, but in the towers. The non-attached kinda off-site buildings (Manor, I assume) looked like someone spilled dumpsters right outside the doors. The online reviews were unbelievably bad especially about how unsafe people felt both going to/from their rooms and while in their rooms. If something costs 15 bucks night, it's probably worth EXACTLY that amount of money. And probably isn't safe or clean at any level. *Listen, if I'm gonna die in Vegas, it not gonna be in a disgusting $15 room!* Great job as always, babe! Your videos are always insightful. Yeah it’s amazing that across the street from billion $ strip hotels there are crappy apartments and sketchy motels. The Uber ride from the airport to the strip is educational. I wasn’t interested in leaving the strip to explore.

That trial and error will get you in vegas I accidentally walked to the sketchy part of Maryland Pkwy when I was looking for a chase bank as a tourist by UNLV.

As recently as the early-2000s there were so many more sketchy motels on the south end of the strip and east of Fremont Street. Sadly, most of them closed and razed by the end of the 2010s. Not great places to stay by any means, but all made for great stories!

You get what you pay for and sometimes some surprises on top of it. Read the most recent reviews. They are touch and go. Sometimes there is construction and elevators out of order you want to be aware of. AND always check to see if they are offering free parking or not. Have a fun Summer.

I'd have to put the Flamingo on my LV sketchiest hotels list. It was a total dump 20 years ago when I stayed there. I don't think it's changed much since then. Also, the first time I was out there, I stayed at the Imperial Palace (now the Linq). That was also one of the frowziest joints ever. Anyway, I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.

Never heard of the Hotel Galaxy but the fact that they claim to have a pool on their website when it's been closed for years is something that really gets under my skin, especially with hotels. Before the video started, I was thinking of 2 spots, The Manner, which you covered, never stayed there. Then, the Oasis Motel, a little North of The Strat on Las Vegas Blvd. I spent a few hours in room 6 once, because my favorite poker player, Stu Ungar, succumbed to his drug addiction in that room in 1998. The place looked just as sketchy the last time I drove by, drugs and prostitution.

I stayed at the Hard Rock hotel on the strip last year because my daughter was in a competition there. It wasn’t as bad as the hotels mentioned here but it was pretty rundown looking (I’ve read it’s had several owners over the years so probably nobody’s invested much $ in upgrading the facilities). Most of the casino patrons were elderly. One old guy actually brought his dogs in with him (and they just laid down next to him while he played a slot machine).

It's crazy that the properties are not maintained especially because it's Las Vegas! The REPUTATION is very important!. I'm grateful that I always found a reasonable rate on the strip with the MGM properties (MLife Member) but if I ever do go to Vegas and rooms are sold out on the strip because of a major event, thank goodness I have Hilton and Marriott points!! Great job checking out the spots! Mostly those type of Hotel/Motels are just for hookups only.

Arizona's Charles boulder hwy the hotel has holes in the wall in room I got roaches coming from fridge. Cigarettes burns in couch . Restaurants food was bad food tasted old alot of sketchy people around cocktail waitress have ankle bracelet

In my younger day, I came to vegas on a Greyhound. They kicked you out of the waiting area @ 2am so I went across the street to the Las Vegan that was like a hotel but only $55 a Week.You shared a bathroom with the room next your room and every time I left the room the staff would come in the room and look through my stuff.If I left the room I wore my best nikes,best Levis, and took every penny that I had with me.There were hookers and meth freaks in the hallway and a mugger always hung out by the fire escape after Dark. I was only 19 and I just thought it was like Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas. I think its a Parking Lot now. You got your Name right babe.

One i stayed at, hmmmm, 3 yrs ago ?? Oyo hotel... just off the strip, right behind the soon to be imploded tropicana. it used to be Hooters, and still has a Hooters inside. its filthy in the casino. you can smoke anywhere in the casino. it reeks of smoke as soon as you walk in. hooters itself is OK, i did eat there, food was "mid level" hooters typical.. nothing to get excited about if you need food sort of late, your only option is White Castle.. service is nearly non existent, beyond slow, short staffed, and all the employees seem to move in slow motion, as if they could care LESS you have waited 25 min for a burger or the mini sliders. rooms are beyond dated, carpets are totally shot, my shower had mildew in the corners, i was afraid to walk on it in bare feet.. i had stayed there when it was Hooters some.. 12-14 yrs ago ?? I think ?? and it was fine.. cheaper than some, no resort fee, etc.. i THINK Oyo has resort fees,?? but, you wouldnt use any of those "extra's" regardless... i dont think they have Police issues,, its simply run down, way down... big time.. and employees that are there, seem to be the ones fired from other properties for lousy service, attitude, attire, etc.. Love the Vids as always...

There used to be the Nevada hotel across the street from the Greyhound saw a guy come on in the elevator someone stabbed him had clenched fists waiting to hit anyone coming in lol was 21 my first experience they had 2.99 lunch 4.99 dinner 1.99 breakfast buffet got the runs my first dining experence ( tour said to spend some money due to the room deal) lmfao!
