Merry christmas, happy New Year. I've considered further editing this and putting it on the main channel. It was certainly scary for us but I'm not sure that its scary or entertaining for the viewer. And we had limited camera viewpoints. Let us know! Thanks to Bad-Dad for helping me with this difficult bottomless pit drop. Managing things topside bares responsibility and requires a lot of patience.

Hey guys, did you have anyone to show you the ropes like you do with Jacob? When Jacob gets to your age he's gonna be a real Master cave explorer ✌🏻

I think that even with the limited camera angles, your voice over commentary explaining the situation you're in combined with the graphic/animations you make successfully convey a scary feeling. I'm always excited to see any video you post though haha

Thanks so much for the specific input. That's what I would do is narrate some and use some graphics to show what was going on. It takes a lot of work and it's way less fun than actually caving!

Would you say man made structures, mines etc. are more dangerous than natural caves?
@EvenDarker
@EvenDarker 6 ай бұрын
Yes by far. Mine's are extremely dangerous and caves generally aren't. I don't know what the stats are but it's got to be a 100 times more dangerous at least. Dilapidated man made structures are subject to imminent collapse. Caves almost never collapse. Mine's can dig into places with bad air. Caves almost all have good clean air. The list goes on and on.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I can make myself motion sick just by thinking about a shaky camera, and yet I can enjoy your videos. I am so impressed by how smooth you are able to keep it, given all you are dealing with at the time.

For you to say its one of the scareyest things you have done got to have been terrified has it seems to amaze me out those tight squeezes are not enough 😮
@EvenDarker
@EvenDarker 6 ай бұрын
Tight squeezes are forgiving. Falling down a 100 foot mine shaft is not. My concern in here was debris falling down on top of me since it was unstable and water was pouring out of the sides. It was slippery and rocks were falling all around. And I couldn't see where I was going because the shaft curved at the bottom.

Cool drop, do you know how deep it actually is? It looks like a mining shaft to me, but is it a natural cave?
@EvenDarker
@EvenDarker 6 ай бұрын
It's a mining shaft. It's a gold mine from the 1920s. That pitch was about 100 ft exactly. 30 meters. There are several pitches and we have not fully explored the mine. It's super fun and we should have a lot of cool video.

Are you able to say th name of the cave or the location, or do you intentionally omit that information so amateurs don't get themselves killed?
@EvenDarker
@EvenDarker 6 ай бұрын
We omit intentionally for the sake of the caves not necessarily the sake of the people. People are welcome to go die if they want but they are not welcome to frequent private caves. This is not necessarily our decision, this is standard protocol within the caving community.
