I appreciate you remaining True to Mike Austin’s philosophy with full fidelity 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾… Thank You I’m sure Mr. Austin is smiling down on you !!

Thank you Tripp, that means a lot to me. I never want to pollute a pure philosophy thinking I can come up with something better. I couldn’t get the Austin swing to work until I stripped myself of all other golf theories and my own opinions and preconceived notions. Then I found his true genius and master piece.

@@yoursimplegolfswing Matt, are you throwing the club head while you’re leaving the hands at the top?

Walter, thanks for watching. Due to time constraints in my schedule I’m not giving lessons at this time. I do review videos sent to me by people who have taken my online course.

Hi Matt... I'm new to your channel, but I've been following the teaching Mike Austin for some time now. I really like this teaching on the lead arm #7 across the chest, which is essential in the Mike Austin swing. But I noticed one thing in your lead arm on the backswing. Your lead arm wrist is cupped and not palm flexed tucking the baby finger under. Dan Shauger said, how can you release the lead hand if it's already released? Is that your personal style or what?
@yoursimplegolfswing Жыл бұрын
Hi Albie, thanks for your comment in question. I have a heckuva time trying to keep my left wrist from cupping and I don’t recommend it for others. With that being said, I have somehow figure it out how to release the club. I have videos on the proper wrist action and I recommend you follow those. As for Dan Shauger please keep in mind that he did not actually teach them Mike Austin swing. He taught a swing he invented himself. If there is any doubt, please read the preface in his second book where he admits that the swing he teaches, was completely invented by himself. He simply used Mike Austin’s name to sell his first book and to build clientele. By the time he wrote his second book, he was ready to admit that he wasn’t teaching to Mike Austin swing.

I like your videos. Very informative.I have a bad right hip, which prevents me from getting a full turn. I use your method to the best of my mobility. I hit my 7 iron roughly 155 yards, which is average, fairly straight slight draw sometimes. But on my driver, it turns into a hook, is there something with my grip or stance that could help. Thanks
@yoursimplegolfswing Жыл бұрын
Yes, the easiest and quickest way to deal with a hook is to lift your hands a bit. It's hard to describe, but at address, as your hands hang down extended, raise them up a bit. I will try to make a video for you. Make sure you subscribe if you haven't already (it's free) and hit the notification button so you'll know when I load up new videos.

Thanks for the tip. Something so simple can change the ball flight. When my hands were higher I hit straight or a touch right with a fade. Lower hands,the ball went left. Will work on this setup to perfect if possible. But it gives me a second shot for different holes

I've done this by accident a few times when I really loosen up and try to whip my swing momentum at the top. Feels like an automatic shot. My arms were just along for the ride. Kind of bewildered at how smooth and straight it went. Seems like you have to let go and trust yourself?
@yoursimplegolfswing Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it’s a cool feeling, isn’t it?
@ST-xg3gy Жыл бұрын
Do you apply the same concept to a shorter swing?
@yoursimplegolfswing Жыл бұрын
Most definitely. This concept helps you maintain a perfect measurement to the ball. I would say this concept becomes even more important on shorter shots. My video and chipping will be published this morning and you’ll see I continue to emphasize this concept of no independent movement of the arms. This can even be applied all the way down to the putting stroke. Thank you for your question and thank you for watching my video.
