This Italian design was so cruel that it was also called the Judas Chair. A prisoner would be lowered over the pyramid-shaped seat using ropes, and the point of the pyramid would be inserted into the anus or vagina. The orifice would be stretched and put under immense pressure, causing lasting damage. In many cases, the person died from tears in the muscle tissue, which became infected over time. Weights were added to increase the impact, often leading to death by impalement. Similar to the Judas Cradle, this method involved the victim sitting on a triangular wooden horse, putting all their weight on their crotch, which rested on the angled point. It caused excruciating pain and could lead to severe injury or death. This was a way to kill someone by cutting them in half, either lengthwise or crosswise through the middle of their body. Victims were often suspended upside down, allowing blood to rush to their heads, prolonging the process and keeping them conscious during the gruesome ordeal.
