since ure not playing it yet, but as a King main, in my opinion King get some of the best tool to counter that in T8. 1. b3 into 1+2 follow up into okis for big chuck of dmg 2. db 1+2 into 2 or throw mixups or even launcher 3. All king's throws (why? since all counter hit throws are only getting 7 frames break window and ur opponents will never get recoverable health). So we need to learn all King's command throws, e.g. Muscle Buster, GS, TT, Rock Bottom, tombstone. etc 4. uf3+4 into 50/50s (this one is -12 tho, so be careful using it against Mishimas

I think a lot of the King hate is just a perception issue. They get counter-grabbed and see a large chunk of their healthbar go away and think its unfair, when literally any other character can do the same thing with a launcher and combo.
