Been putting in too much time and haven’t gotten any steel yet on the Clearwater. Hopefully will get it done by the end of the year!

I lived in Lewiston for a few years in early to mid 80s, Jr high and some high school, before moving back to Newport. I fly fished Steelhead a lot. Now I'm old, have a fishing boat, and wanna get back down there! Your videos have been a lot of my motivation!

Just curious, do you ever fish the shrimp on a maribou or buck tail jig? Or, always alone on the double hook set up? What you are doing is paying off. “don’t fix what isn’t broken” 👍

I just checked out the reel on kastking and dang! I’m used to using shimano sonora and Sedona reels that are less than 100 bucks😂 this would be such a huge upgrade and would be my new go-to for sure! I’ve never tried any kastking reels but I’ve definitely built a “wishlist” on their site 😅 Thanks again for the vids and giveaways! There’s THOUSANDS of fishing videos out there, but I much more prefer your kind of format without all the crazy cutscenes, drama, sound effects and just silliness lol. Just pure facts, information and fishing. Cheers from overregulated California! Lol. God bless you guys too.

a great technique that would work there would be a double or triple hover rig with coonies. essentially a few 3 ways on your main line with like 2 or 3 foot leaders with a corky half way up the leader to help float the coonie with like a 1oz cannon ball and vertically fish it with some electronics, live scope preferably, and move the baits to where ever the fish are in the water column, also if you cure your own shrimp, highly recommend keith archers ultimate shrimp cure regular, or high octane. id probably use the regular one up there since youre far from salt.

Hello from fresh n salty fb! Great video so far! I live in CA, but these techniques definitely could still apply in some higher Serra spots. Oregon fishing just looks like it hits different lol. I hope to visit someday soon! (Especially because of our bs Salmon restrictions STILLLLL happening…)
