Well, you can. But if the abilities are there to play treq it's not really needed. We have seen games where people have trained a player in a role for 5 years, never getting it better( greener). So we don't think we need to. you can still use it to get a spread on many abb's needed for the role, instead of just focus if he needs many and not just a few. But due to too much intensity and then injuries we don't recommend both at same time, so will suggest to chose one

Just to add to this I've come to learn the roles are aren't really that import they are just your assistants recommendation for how good they can play that role, if a player has good attributes for a different role you want him to play he can still do it fine, and as mentioned in this video if you keep playing the striker as a treq he will eventually get better familiarity with that role and the colour if the circle will improve.

1. Training using general training sessions. If they have reach PA or it is 24 and above years old, will not improve or will develop slowly. That's depend from player to player. 2. just 1 thing wrong, you are NOT training a player for a role when choosing playing position in individual training, but training the specific attributes suitable for that role. so while having it set on playing position does spread out the growth, this is not necessarily what you want to do, as this might dilute the players overall potential( as every attribute gain eats up some overall potential, this is also the case when training new positions), for many players you would get better results chosing the role that focuses on the most RELEVANT attributes for their position( ie CB= no nonsense, CM=box to box etc) meaning you would have a higher chance to reach overall potential

What I just want to say is : it is great using training tips, looking for personality types, hidden abilities (I dont even know exactly how after so many years) BUT always remember it is a game, which we all love to play our way. I prefer to have players I like in real life, have good past memories in FM etc and look them develop slighty or not even, playing decent but not great than just focusing on numbers,attributes, personalities, arrows and staff. Every thing is nice when you do it at a certain level. My opinion of course. Keep up the great work! Cheers.

Very useful. I’ve had great success recently with moving all my under 18/23 with 3 star and above into the first team and using mentoring groups. Never had great success loaning out players under 22/23 before even to clubs with good resources. Now they are flying up. Even just using auto assign for training schedule and groups but I tend to manually use complete wing back/ball playing defender/box to box with defensive positioning extra training and winger/wider target man/complete forward with either final 3rd/shooting/attacking movement and seems to work for me. Sometimes some players can’t handle the extra training so just remove that. Then just say use in under 23/18 games each game and give them cup games. Loans just seem waste unless to a decent foreign club where they get game time.

I.E if u have 2 games in one week do more match preparation on your opponent with some extra sessions, if u have one game in week balanced it with specific atribute for your formation, if your formation is based on wingers it is logical that u will train attacking wings .... I always do all training myself since getting fm20, but I do always train specific players in the role I want then to play. But by doing this I do very rarely see them improve to 'accomplished' status in that position. In fact, fm20 seems to be amazing at players getting less familiar in that position. I buy bbm's and they turn over a season or three into dlp's or mezzalas. I then took to training and playing people as cm's, but again, while there stats improve they never rriseem to get nearer to being accomplished in that role.. I will try switching it to generic playing position and see what that does this season! Cheers.
@shiniselune3994 жыл бұрын
The familiarity in the role doesn't do anything. It's just a game recommendation based on how the player's stats are arrayed and the reason why a player becomes "worse" in it is because as his stats change the game recommendations change as well. The only thing that matters is the familiarity in the position. you want your player to be natural in the position he is playing because if he isn't it will impact his positioning and decision making. So if you are confident that a player is good at a particular role but the game only shows half "familiarity" in it, just ignore it and play him like that he wont be worse for it. PS: when you ask the game to train a player in a specific role, the only thing that changes is the priority that is put into training the stats that are necessary for this role, which is why i don't agree with this video that is saying you should train the player on the position and not the role.

You do want your player trained on the specific role since it affects what attributes will be prioritized when this player develops. The only time you want to train a player by position instead is for roles that uses very few attributes like winger, because you will end up with a too specific training.
@fmscout4 жыл бұрын
Everyone trains different. For me, this is the best way. The aim isn't/wasn't to increase everything from the role. But also not just about development. This helps with better condition for matches (less workload), high training ratings which results into a good morale. I also can increase a players weakness quicker this way as he's only prioritising the attributes i want him to focus on
@vasileiosalexandris4 жыл бұрын
The player will train according to X position of your tactic with "player position" training. If you have a Winger (MR position) in your tactic, the player will be trained as Winger. If you add him as Winger role in individual training, you only increase his workload and nothing more. The specific role makes sense only when you want to re-train someone.

How do you know it is your training schedule and not just the form of the players which defined their growth ? I have similar growth on my good players atm Edit : How do you determine it isnt just the fact they get good grades on training, regardless of what type of training you do ? ( this would be stupid and funny at the same time ) The training you set should prepare the player better for next match , meaning he should get a higher rating. Does this mean the training caused the increase or that the training is kind of irrelevant and its all based on how well they perform on the pitch ? As Dutch B team coaches get to participate in the training of the A and u19 teams, we just have a real lot of coaches. I by no means want to criticize , but I think the only way to actually see the difference is use of editor. Run 100 season where they are all fully healed up before each match and run the season with your schedule vs runnig them with the default schedule. Also on the webpage you suggest to use coaches with the same formation and tactical style, I dont know about you, but I run a database of 380000 at the start and there just arent enough decent coaches who tick that mark let alone if you put an extra filter of good personality on it. Regarding the tactics / formation training thing I would really love to see quite a few seasons simmed with the same coaches but edited to see the difference :o Also was unclear for me, was the first stat update ( with the Ass man doing the schedule ) with the exact same staff as the second update ?

I agree. Too many changes to be able to tell what is actually causing the improvement. Doesn't the asst. leave individual training on player position? So, then we've got training load, coach personality, or the team training sessions, all of which could matter, but perhaps only one of them does. Also need several more iterations to rule out chance.

The player will train to his position via training (that's why general schedules) and game time. If you have CWB in your tactic is not necessary to add him as CWB on individual training. If you add him as CWB you need to change training approach which is way more complicated.

I don't want to be overly critical here, but I have a few points to make and I am experienced in setting up training myself. 1) you can't just put everyone on playing position, especially not, if you want to change the position they're playing in. At least sometimes not, this seems to be a little strange in the game. For some it works for others it doesn't. 2) some skills you can't train individually like Tackling, others you can only train with others you may not want to improve. For example I have a player with 16 technique, 16 first touch and only 8 dribbling. I would like to train his dribbling but that would also mean wasting potential on first touch and technique, as these stats will have to be trained alongside. This is a problem, though it's a problem you will always face. 3) This training makes a lot of players unhappy due to high quickness and strength training percentage. I had 2 unhappy players with training, at most 3 with my approach, applied this training for 2 months, now I have 8 unhappy players currently. That's bad as it affects development from my experience. I will have to see how this continues, but so far I don't see huge benefits to using this specific training, although it's obviously better than using you assistant. I would however recommend looking for coaching personality as that makes positive impact. But an experienced player would know that.

Hello, 1. Don't be confused with position and role. If you leave it "by position" that means your player will train to learn that position. As a side note, player will train also according to designed role in your tactic, but in lighter workload from assign him as "by role". 2. If you see, training sessions are from general one, which include Defending. If you go to the description you will read that "Tackling" is being trained. Training sessions plays much more role rather than if you put X player to be trained as CWB or CF etc. 3. I have tried a lot training in FM20, using every possible training method, sessions etc. You will always receive complaints.

@@vasileiosalexandris As I said I have also developed training regimes and I am experienced in this field as well. I respect your effort and I'm sure it works, but I have found my approach to be more succesful for me. 1. I am not confusing the two. But you can't just choose which position to train someone in. For example I can't tell a natural AML to only train the position AMC. The game doesn't make that possible. I find it to be more efficient to train a role on AMC and also play them there, even if I could also train the same role on AML, like Advanced Playmaker. It speeds up the process. 2. Again, I find the combination of training a role, training something specific and then also have training schedules for different areas to be more efficient. The player grows faster in more areas. I can still not have him train a role if I want to focus on a more specific attribute. I have at least 6 different schedules over a season, Pre-Season, tactical work for familarity and cohesion, a defensive schedule focussing on all defensive attributes, an attacking schedule focussing on all attacking attributes, a possession schedule focussing on all passing, technical and teamwork attributes and a mental schedule focussing solely on mental attributes and tactical work with no physical work. Additionally those players I can form I will train in the role I need and also focus on specific attributes that the player is behind on. 3. Yes, but not as many. As I said with my training setup I have at most 3 players complaining at one time, sometimes fewer. When I tried this it varied between 5 and 10 complaints a week, never lower. This is probably due to having many more different week setups and sometimes no physical work. I feel physical work is overrated as mostly young players need it but will develop very quickly in those areas anyway. I still usually have one session in there but sometimes even that is too much. A U21 player will grow his physical attributes fast either way, if they are missing a lot by then they will never reach what you want, otherwhise they will only miss 1 or 2 points in some area you can easily get without putting all your stock into them. Preseason schedule is additionally so physical they will usually grow very fast in that area at that time.

@@richardm.227 This is where being confused. 1. Re-training is something completely different. If you have a natural AML player, you use it as AMC (let's say SS) in your tactic and you leave it as "by position"; that player will be trained to learn AMC & SS in lighter way. With double intensity, you tell that player to increase his workload. 2. If you add a player to train in a specific role, according to your tactic; you tell that player to become familiar with the role and nothing more. What attributes will be develop it's up to training sessions and only. 3. About double intensity & training intensity: Is completely two different things. It's a matter of everyone how to train players, of course. After having a conversation with Seb which is responsible for new training after FM19 (which is not like previous training methods); I am having under 21 at double intensity & "by position". Above 21 - Under 31; normal intensity + "by role"; Above 31 by position at normal intensity. How fast or if they develop it's up to X player hidden & unhidden attributes as well as training facilities, coaches etc.

@@vasileiosalexandris 1. The first thing is a problem in a game. I think we agree that training playing position only gives you one option (which is already bad if you play players in two different positions in different systems). The game actually tells you what position they will train, it will say *position* - Playing position. But the *position* is quiet often not what they actually play. For example, I play with wingbacks and the players there are natural right/left backs usually. For one of them playing position is actually WBL. But for the other one it's DR and I can't change that. This is why training a role in a different position can actually help you out more in some cases than playing position, because playing position will be wrong. The process will go faster then 2. Are you sure about that? It is true for most sessions I agree with that, but not all of them. If you look at "chance creation" and "chance conversion" sessions for example, secondory and goalkeeper focus will actually be "Attributes" for "individual role". Thereby, setting players to the role you want them to play as should increase attribute gain for the attributes the set role needs. As this is fairly rare throughout the sessions, I don't believe this to be a mistake, otherwhise this mistake would be everywhere. So setting a role should actually help with attribute gain in specific sessions, the game itself says so. 3. I didn't mean intensity, I was talking about physical training because that's what players complain about the most, strength and/or quickness training. That's why it makes sense to not just put "Physical" sessions into every week. You can take specific physical sessions like endurance, quickness and resistance so they don't train all of it all the time and get less happy. And you can even have 1 or 2 week schedules that don't do physical work. The rest I obviously agree with.

you go to the player page -> development -> progress -> change to attributes -> go to compare attribute changes since and select all time. some skins dont show this some do, it depends.

Zero games, one game or two games.. That is your first team, but what when there is a difference from how many games your first team plays and your U-23?And will the players in U-18 benefit at all from this? U-18 is most important when it comes to talentprogress, after all. Thanks for an interesting video btw.

Great video. Couple of questions. 1,. Can we use the scedules on youth players and 2. at what point does attributes become more important than personality for the coaches. Extreme example Model Professional with 1 attribute or Balanced personality with 20 attribute? I know it wouldn't be like that but is there a point you would prefer attributes?
@vasileiosalexandris4 жыл бұрын
We trying to make youths schedules, but limited time for now. I would prefer medium attributes with better personality until I found the one with best attributes and best personality.

If just for the rest page and intensity automation, THANK YOU! I have doubts about the "playing position" though, I always set it up manually (to cover for player learning a "new" position). Are you saying that's useless ? Does playing position mean last played position?
@elliottkinsella-calverley84724 жыл бұрын
Major issue I have found with this schedule is the amount of injuries, after the first week I had 3 short term injuries. I've been using this training schedule for about 2 months now and I have received at least 10-20 injuries across 1st/2nd team with roughly 3 long term. Maybe the intensity is too high or clubs below the top division players don't have the stats.
