It’s not that expensive. I have bags from Tumi, Briggs & Reilly and Victorinox that cost more but did less. Plus they don’t look half as nice. I’m buying one and ditching a few of my existing bags.

I already follow most of those tips (particularly the most impactful ones). Here are a few of mine: 1. It's not just the number of items, but also the size and weight of each item. Travel pants are lighter and thinner than jeans. Moreover, I can wash them in the sink, dry them overnight, and keep wearing them the next day. Try doing that with jeans. 2. I plan my outfits to minimize the heaviest and bulkiest items (shoes, boots, jackets, coats, etc.), because getting that right will have more impact than cutting out a couple shirts. 3. The bulkiest pair of shoes/boots gets worn on the airplane. It may take a couple extra minutes going through security, but it saves a lot of space in the bag. 4. If something is heavy and/or bulky, and it's also cheap, I'll buy it when I get there. We saved space by buying our beach towels in Hawai'i. 5. Certain amenities might be provided as part of your accommodations (e.g. shampoo, soap, coffee maker, coffee grounds, bear spray), particularly if you're at a bed & breakfast. If so, there's no need to bring your own. 6. If we're buying something heavy or bulky for the trip (like non-perishable food), we get it shipped to our destination. 7. Since my wife loves to buy souvenirs, I encourage her to buy ones that are small and light … or have them shipped home.

Perfect timing! I'm getting back into dating and was going to ask if you could do a video on how to pack a weekender to get maximum outfits. Learned a lot in this video! Tucking the socks into the shoes is brilliant! I also use travel organizers to help keep my stuff easy to find. I also bring a plastic bag for dirty laundry to keep it separate from the clean laundry.

The bundle-method of packing a suitcase saves the most space and reduces most wrinkles. I've tried it and it actually works and was very surprised the first time I tried it at all the space I saved and all the clothes I packed. The only problem is going through security and they go through it, you will have to rebuild those bundles. You'll look like a crazy person at first because it's not the traditional way to fold clothes or pack a suitcase but when you're finished you'll have a perfect bundle that needs little if any ironing when you get to your destination.

I’m not a man but I really enjoy your channel. Some tips I have for travel is, follow a packing list and adjust it as you travel more. Packing cubes help a lot with keeping things organized. I ALWAYS dress nicely to the airport, meaning I wear a blazer nice pants, sometimes nice sneakers or some boots, depending on where I’m going 😊🎉

Lots of good tips, even those that aren't new (socks tucked in shoes? Now that's radical). But there's always something you haven't heard of before. I've got great dopp bags, but I use plastic bags for toiletries. Always pack the same kit, never swap back from home cabinet to suitcase; keep sample sizes, leak-proof sizes, a razor that will get through security, minimum set of cables and adaptors (and, yes, the extension cord). Those go in plastic bags, too; lightweight, easy to find. I do pack gym shoes, but they are the minimal "Five Fingers" toe shoes, used for running, sports, and gym. My gym bag is less than half a kilo packed, with the shoes, a quick-dry t-shirt, and nylon shorts/swim suit. All goes into a dry bag, so I can transport wet clothes and use for laundry on return. Two pairs of ultra-light black socks, good enough for dress or walking all day. Bought them twenty years ago and wear them all the time; they wash and dry for the next morning. I pack a super-lightweight packable rain jacket that is casual and practical. With a down vest, that combo is good for below-freezing temperatures. Number one tip I didn't hear: PACK the light stuff, WEAR the bulky stuff. I travel in my sport jacket, and hang it up. If I'm taking a coat, I'm wearing the coat (I roll it and strap it to the suitcase, and it doesn't count as part of my weight allowance). Same with the loafers or Chelseas; wear them. Add a pair of the packable Ace Marks shoes (Anthony will put a link in, I'm sure). I don't mind looking good on a transatlantic flight, even if I kick my shoes off during flight. Since I usually have to arrive and go straight to work, I'm travelling in my grown-up clothes. My own power tip; purchase clothes specifically for travelling (for example, my casual shirts are wrinkle-free golf shirts). My suitcase is always ready to be packed for the next trip, with the clothes hanging in one designated spot in the cupboard, and the regular items such as gym strip and toiletries pre-packed at all times.

if you travel more than 8 times in a year, I recommend TSA Precheck, especially if you don't like taking off articles of clothing at security or trying to fumble with toilettes, large electronics or even light jackets.

I find that utilizing the plastic that my dry cleaner provides with my cleaned shirts are great for trips as an outer protector for groups of shirts and helps prevent wrinkles while packed as well.

This video is perfect timing as usual!! I just got in from LAX Sunday morning from Florida. I have a couple of little critiques. I honestly only use carry on when I travel. I come from a family with marines, army, and even navy-men. So when I say this less is more, mores is less. This saying, has some hefty weight behind my packing details.Personally I Lay out my clothes for the next day every night. Out of habit I do the same for when I travel. On account of the nail-clippers, etc. I personally take nail-clippers and a nail file. I also use a combination of folding and rolling techniques to reduce negative space. Depending on what type of weather I am flying into I pack my cologne accordingly. I save a bit of weight by not using cartages razor blades. In stead I use a double sided butterfly (safety) razor. Antonio you have done a fantastic job on this video!!! I personally agree on most of the stuff you said, besides my "LITTLE" critiques.

Squeeze out excess air from your toiletry bottles. Get Grandpa’s Pine Tar Soap, it works for body, face, beard, hair and shaving. Ranger roll your tshirts, underwear and socks, saves a crapton of space (much more efficient than regular loose rolling). Fold all your dress shirts together as one. Wear your biggest items during travel when possible; sweater, boots, hat, jacket, etc… I pack for a week in a weekender bag this way and travel remarkably light. Also, use that hotel laundry service. If you know you’re gonna be gone for 10 days, but can have the hotel do your washing every couple of days, you can pack for 3-4 and bring even less.

Great Video as alway Antonio! Thank you for the straight forward tips for packing lite. One other suggestion is to wear your heavier items (if possible) to reduce the weight in the bags. I fight the battle every trip between going lite and being prepared, and being prepared usually wins out. One other tip is to make sure you carry a few plastic shopping bags in the event your carryon is deemed to heavy or large. You can add some items to the plastic bags and carry them on your person and they will be allowed on the plane. Keep up the great work! Semper Fi!

Type of material our clothing is made out of can also help you travel light. Merino blend fabrics allows you to wear it multiple times without the need to wash; and some you can was in the hotel sink and hang dry.

13:08 ... Some of my travel tips are : 1) cut your tooth brush handle down for more ultra light weight 2) Use Disposable gillette razers and cut their handle down as well for more real estate and lightweight. 3) Use Shampoo & soap Bar, and cut down in size. great for shaving creme replacement. 4) Invest in USB rechargeable OLIGHT flashlight or a i5T , single battery , 300 lumen light with clip on or a rechargeable headlamp.

First thing I do I organise what I'm wearing for the day of the trip - this saves me packing something I later realise that I needed and also allows me to save space in my bag by wearing bulkier items like boots or a jacket. After that things are packed in order of necessity: toiletries and underwear first then clothes in descending order of formality.

Sure thing, Antonio! Use a good antiperspirant/deodorant in conjunction with the undershirts. Helps keep the outside clothes cleaner and helps reduce (preferably prevents) transferring any BO smells that may happen. Makes it easier to wear clothes multiple times, so you can pack less clothing. Get your haircut done before the trip. Already had a haircut a couple of weeks ago? Freshen it up with a trim. Very similar to taking care of your nails beforehand. Use a separate bag for dirty clothes. If time allows, let the dirty clothes air out to help reduce moisture before packing them in your bag. Bonus if it is a dry bag (can be used for wet clothing)! Put shoes in their own bags (plastic or cloth), which helps keep the other contents and case clean. Carry a couple of extra plastic bags. They take up no space and you never know when you need a bag or two for the unexpected. Forgot your toothbrush or sewing kit? Some hotels offer complimentary kits, so it never hurts to ask the front desk! Okay, this one doesn't deal with saving space, but it does have to do with forgetting to pack them. Oh, I do a combination of folding and rolling.

I looked at the Carl Friedrik luggage they have (at least the Pro you showed) removable batteries. These can be controversial, between some TSA bans and varied airline policies. Best to check with your airline if allowed either as carry-on or checked. Now about shoes. Kudos to you for packing items in them, otherwise that's a lot of wasted volume. Also, the can protect delicate item in them, and socks or underwear stuffed in them can protect the shoe from getting squashed. However, your shoes' dirty soles can soil your suitcase or other clothing. I've made pouches for shoes out of the legs of old jeans. They're already hemmed at the bottom, just sew them closed where you cut them off.

I ranger roll my clothing to make space. Wear your heaviest shoes to lighten the weight of the suitcase. Hotels normally provide lotion, shampoo, and body wash, so I don't bring it. If checking in luggage, make sure that your carryon has at least 1 change of clothing. Airline lost my clothing before and I was glad I had a change of clothing til they delivered it to my hotel the following day

Hey Antonio! Great tips! I also use packets of toothpaste, art of shaving oil, shaving cream, and after shave. The packets last a couple days each and if you shave every other day, that’s a week. I also use baggies (good quality ones with double seals for a squirt or two of hair gel or fave wash or cream (yes Vitaman is excellent)), travel toothbrush (Boy Scouts are good ones, and small travel spray antiperspirant (normally use deodorant but when traveling antiperspirant is a better idea because you’re working up a sweat and around more people hopefully without masks), and instead if scissors or nail clippers I include in my dopp kit the small swiss army knife with the tweazers and scissors (very sharp). For meds again I use a baggie. I throw a few packets of screen cleaner to wipe my phone and earbuds. I always bring an extra 3’ charging cable and in a pinch charge from the back of many TVs in hotel rooms. Btw you can even bring a packet of travel detergent (tide is best) and wash socks and underwear and dry them on the towel rack overnight. I usually travel with thin wool socks, they smell less are way more comfy to travel with (boardroom brand are good). I would LOVE a coin btw if you can spare one, I’d gladly cover the shipping Antonio! Take care

Great video today. I just got back from a trip where it was 82°F when I left. I didn't check the weather and two day in, the temps dropped 40° and I and many others were left in the cold and wind! AS for packing socks into shoes, I got pulled aside due to the shoes looking too dense on the X-Ray. He proceeded to pull the socks out and left me to repack.... (i repacked the socks back into the shoes and went on my way). I usually prepack a few days before a trip and plan outfits based on the activities for each day and get really OCD and pack them in reverse order so that when i unpack I unpack and the clothes are in the proper order for the weeks events. As for toiletries, I travel with a CPAP (which is a necessary pain to be able to sleep). I bought a smaller travel version that also has a battery that I can use on longer flights if necessary. I also use it for my DOP kit putting the bare essentials in a small zip lock bag inside, refilling the items when I get home. It is always ready to go. I am disappointed that you didn't share the military hack of refilling the small travel size toothpaste tubes. I guess that's more of a US Navy thing....

Thanks, Antonio! Some good tips in there. My travel requires a bit more taking with me than yours, as I often need to take medicines for the countries I'm going to, as well as a fair amount of camera gear to do my job. One thing that you didn't mention, but that I always do is to use my iPad rather than bringing paper books, much as I love to read paper books. The iPad can hold movies, TV shows, be used for email, as well as hold hundreds of books.

Loving this channel, and although this video is a a few months old, there are two things I'd like to contribute per your invitation. 1.) Travel with your suit on, IMO, it travels better than it folds, this is especially handy for quick 1 to 2 hour flights, I know, I know what if there is a spill, I've traveled extensively over the years and as yet (knock wood) no catastrophe. 2.) Tactical belts I've used these for years , why you ask, no metal buckle , leave them on, slip off your loafers and glide through the checkpoint with quicker ease. Glad to contribute, Antonio, love the content, great stuff, P.S. is it too late for a 🪙, 🙂.

Give me a coin. 1) pack a small bottle of woolite and you can wash your socks and underwear in your room reducing the number you need to take. That goes for t-shirts as well. 2) layer items to avoid that bulky winter coat. 3) bring one body wash versus multiple soaps. 4) skip the skin care. 5) For warm weather mix in some shorts save space over trousers. 6) in emergencies steam your clothes in the hotel shower. 7) you can buy things you need on the road. When in doubt leave it out. 8) use a backpack or messenger bag that doubles as a day pack when you hit your destination. 9) skip the camera and just use your smartphone. 10) likewise. do you really need that computer on this trip? What about an iPad or just your smartphone. Try it and feel the freedom. PS give me a coin. Cheers!
