If I recall correctly, it's now thought that dinosaurs were an uncommon food source for _Deinosuchus_ as we find their tooth marks far more commonly on the shells of turtles. While we have found bitemarks on the vertebrate of an unidentified hadrosaur, it's hard to tell whether that was predatory or an act of scavenging, for obvious reasons. That being said, still wouldn't wanna fuck with one.
@iguanaboi39215 жыл бұрын
My theory as to why ingen never cloned a deinosuchus, is because it's too similar in appearance to regular modern crocodiles. The average person probably couldn't tell the difference between a Deinosuchus and a saltwater crocodile, especially if they're bad at distinguishing sizes. Plus it would be pretty lame compared something like a T-Rex, Carnotaurus, or Suchomimus.
@alexlemonds28384 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Kaprosuchus (Boar Croc) was alot more interesting. It could swim as well as run at high speeds. Imagine it: crowds cheer as they witness one race into the water.

This is an animal that; if done right, could bring real terror in the big screen. One reason of why it isn't used more in the franchise must be because it doesn't have that "Dinosaur feel" to it for those who don't know what it is... Most people would rather see something that looks more like a traditional dinosaur (Marine and flying reptiles included) than something "too similar" to what we have in the present day. Personally, I would LOVE to see it, especially if we get to see the true size of this thing... Until today, every time me and my brother walk next to an Arcade, we search for the Lost World Arcade Game hoping to replay it... I have lots of great memories with that boss fight!

Imagine this in the new film, some people are next to the waters edge. Fishing, or what have you. They hear a disturbance in the water close to them. They hear the scared cry of some water birds, and see them dash off the surface of the water rather quickly. The people know something is up now, and the music intensifies. They suddenly see some alligators dart out of the water so fast that they’re oblivious to the humans next to them. It goes quite. Too quite, then suddenly the deinosuchus lunges out of the water grabbing one of the people, while they all watch horrified. The deinosuchus takes its prey back to the water. Leaving people scared and traumatised. I reckon that would tie in well w the new film cause imagine those people reporting it to the local police or something “we saw a dinosaur kill our friend” w the police replying “dinosaurs here, sure” or something like idk, I mean yea I doubt it would ever happen but imagine if it did, like it gives me goosebumps

I loved Jurassic Worlds idea of a functioning park that was "accident free" for like ten years. I wish they would do a movie or tv special about it. Just seeing the dinosaurs and especially lesser known ones like the Deinosuchus would be cool.

Man, I don't know which InGen creation is more elusive; Tylosaurus, or Deinosuchus here.

Honestly, Deinosuchus looked more like an Alligator. Scarcosichus was Crocodilian.

@klayton i would love to hear you talk about the Jurassic Park arcade cabinet game. Its one of my favs and the dinosaurs look unique. Plus, the story and setting seem interesting to delve into. Plus, the Spinosaurus is in it!

>sees crocodillian Sarcosuchus!? "Deinosuchus..." Aw... ... and most people I know would be stifling laughter at my excitement for and then deflation over not getting a specific species of crocodillian.

This is the most epic out of the non- dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park-World series, and I hope it will be in JWD,also I'm glad that Deinosuchus is my 3rd favorite prehistoric Crocodilan.
