Hey now, I had to stand there and watch my wife’s longtime friend and stylist shave her head when it was apparent that chemo would indeed make all of her hair fall out. Both of them cried the entire time, while I stood still, already emotionally from the surgeries and radiation treatments, and instead of crying I punched a hole (that I paid to fix) in this wonderfully kind woman’s salon. So yes, a haircut can be emotional. And for those of you who made it this far, here is a stupid medical joke to cheer you up: “That woman in Bay 12 has acute angina. And her tits are pretty great too!”

The choice to use the major four chord at the end, instead of the typical minor four you hear in barbershop music is just perfect. Especially when paired with the lyrics "again", it ends up souning like a very churchy Amen, which fits perfectly with the lyrics that read like a prayer. Not to mention just how gorgeous it sounds. This arranger is fucking great. The most beautiful barbershop ending tag Ive ever heard.

I think it happens at 1:00, but I say there’s a strong case to be made that in measure 19, the note you transcribed for bari as a C is actually a B (on “a” in “a-gain”). I swear I have a life, I just really like this performance and am a baritone so I had to try reading along with it. Thank you for your hard work and transcription!
@jasonfieler Жыл бұрын
The thing is that it's close to a B, but it's just a really flat C, like the whole performance drifted flat before that so it's landed a little between. In terms of the chord, it's definitely a minor 6 chord so it makes more sense for it to be a perfect fifth with the bass, but it's somewhere between an E minor 6 and an F minor 6, so that just has to do with the tuning as a whole
