Hi, Leigh and Nikki. What a laugh-a-minute video this turned out to be. Everyone having so much fun, initially spread out around the canal, but coming together at the end to haul out that very old and large safe. A huge effort by all. Lots of other trash removed and such a variety of bikes. Nikki, I hope you made Leigh clean himself up before letting him back into your vehicle after his dip in the canal. In my personal calendar, I long ago renamed Thursday to "Bondi'sReleaseDay". Again, magnetic fishing is presented to our attention, and even in my favorite weather - cloudy, it is not possible to understand what time of day it is, morning or evening .. And giant old safes only add romance.

That computer is a MSX2-series computer, Made by Philips. Model is VG8235, probably from around 1986-89. I bet Adrian Black from YT channel Adrian's Digital Basement could bring it back to life! That would be awesome to watch!

I’ve been magnet fishing for a while on the Sunshine Coast, QLD Australia and I’ve only found a broken fishing rod and kitchen knife and a couple rusty hooks, I’ve been using a 112kg single sided magnet so I’m just wondering if it’s the magnet or the location.

All the crabs you will find in freshwater canals are the chinese mitten crab - an invasive species. The one you caught was one for sure. Close to the sea you might also encounter native green crabs.
