That’s the ACTUAL kit used on Metallica’s black album. Honestly unreal.. That kit is basically priceless, which is why he said a “hard no” to $250k. He’d maybe let it go for a cool milly.

This is cool! I'd the rarest non-custom (thus most highly valued) drumset ever made is the Top hat and Cane patterned Ludwigs 1941 and '42. Most valued by artist must be Ringo's (one of his snare sold at 14K if I recall properly). There is one Gladstone kit that's valued at 250K. If we talk about complete kits with hardware and cymbals tho... whole other damn story fosho. This guy is the realest

yeah while I don't doubt that the actual price of that particular piccolo snare is much lower than what ross stated (as far as just a regular one without its particular history or usage), I'm sure that his (or probably anyone else's for that matter) reason(s) or legitimizing for the exorbitant price tag is directly proportionate to who's used it, when, where & especially on which particular recordings and/or performances
