Go at least 14karat, its over half Gold. 9& 10karat is less Gold than other metal(alloy). 18k is perfect for jewellery, just my opinion. it have 75% Gold in and it looks good, a little heavyer than 14k but i Think its the best, even if i know very good goldchains of 21karat,22karat and 23,2karat(thai baht chains,stamped 965 or 96,5%) or the “Rolls Royce” of jewellery 24karat 999,9 finegold.

I don't understand why you twist it and then twist it by hand so that you claim the links aren't as spaced out but then you run it through the rolling mill anyway to flaten and space them out makes no sense. Also i really think you should have made it hang straight instead of making up excuses of it needing to twist to lay flat on the neck.. Boxlock is the best. in a carabin there Can be a steelspring who Can”be tired” or doesnt work so the lock badically is open. That doesnt happen with a boxlock in solid Gold.
