Handed down my Nike VRS Covert set to my youngest son as he was still using my 35 yr old Zing 2s. Wasn’t so happy as I tried out the new Pings and Taylormade till I saw one of your episodes where you found Miuras in a garage sale with the bag. Price was out of range for me till I took an opportune trip to Tokyo and my sons pointed me out to a Golf Partner shop which had the Pi-401 Miura Giken on hand. As the yen was down I got it a little less than a grand. Pre-owned but barely used. They are butter smooth and surgically accurate is an understatement. Miura's are golf crack! I went to a fitting for Mizuno irons and the fitter put a Miura Baby Blade in my hands. I have never felt anything better. Fortunately, my wife wasn't too mad when I told her I bought them and how much they cost!🤑

Your description of the feel of the CB-302 is exactly what I’ve experienced in the PI-401, MC-501, and KM-700. All of them let you know just where on the face you hit the ball. I traded in my PI-401s for the KM-700s as I just couldn’t deal with the thicker top line. I really tried to like them but I learned to play with blades and still prefer that thin top line. The MC-501s are my backup set now but I will wear them out before I get rid of them. Hopefully you and Ash can find a way to get a set of Miuras.

Jon if you can find a way to buy the Honmas, do it. I am a golf thrifter as well. Short story- I was seriously into mountain biking in the 90’s. I needed a new bike, but had very little money due to my love of skiing, golf and cycling. Anyway, I went to a very high end bike store and test rode several bikes. The store was shared by a custom frame builder, the bikes were one offs, custom only $$$ and it was a 6 month wait to get your bike. I knew the owner of the store and he said “ I have this custom bike, but the guy who ordered can’t buy it now, and he is your height and weight, but if you ride it you will buy it” I was like I can’t afford it, but I will ride it anyway. It was amazing, absolutely the best bike I’ve ever ridden. I took out a loan, to buy it, I felt that I didn’t deserve the bike $$$. But it was paid off in 10 months, never looked back. I have bought and sold many bikes since then, but I still have that magnificent bike hanging up in my garage. It still rides amazing, and has thousands of single track miles on it. I don’t even think about the cost now. If it’s right, it’s right.

I love my Cleveland CG16 irons. On my second set noe, but they feel amazing for a non forged offering, better than my 2018 apex's. You always know exactly where you hit them on the face

Every YT Golfer should take a lesson from you guys on mic placement. The bluetooth mic's on the caps sound is awesome w/ no distortion or anything rubbing against the mic like clothing or anything. Rick should do that lol. The OG needs to take a lesson on mic placement from the OG's

Son just picked up the PING G430 Max last week and absolutely loves it. Went with the PING Tour 2.0 Chrome shaft Stiff flex. He’s hit a bucket at the range and played 2 rounds with it so far. When he bought it at Dick’s he was able to hit multiple drivers. I told him if he’s looking forgiveness, I thought he would like the G430. After spending an hour in the hitting booth he agreed!
