Great trip to the past! I was reminded of these titans recently as they added art to a Magic the gathering supplemental product recently. They did so much great art for Marvel starting in the 93 masterpiece set.

Weird that it wasn't mentioned that Vallejo and Julie Bell were both bodybuilders so all of their references were of them and friends. That's why all their stuff were of naked bodybuilders. They are more fantasy artists. They painted all kinds of tchotchkes from plates, knives, pendants etc.

My father bought this book for me almost 25 years ago while we were at a flea market. It's in rough shape but I still have it packed away. I took it into class once and my teacher took it away because I was showing my friends in class and she thought the art wasn't appropriate for 4th grade 😂
