I’ve been around since the beginning of your channel (i was here before the rifles video) I really enjoyed the video today… I kind of fell off from playing/buying around late 2019. I remember knowing double masters was coming out, but due to life, fell off of playing before it came out.. the nostalgia was real in this video! I just started again and so much has changed!!! I couldn’t believe the card art… P.S. i even tried to meet creepy Rudy years ago by doing a little creeping off my own. Found your storefront off one of your first videos when you were just getting the space and stopped by when i was down in jax. Super dark tint, and no answer when i knocked. Would have loved to have met you. Magic, investing, guns, kindred spirits indeed!

I LOVED this set. I wish I could go back in time and re-live it all again. Such A high quality product. Like you said, the card quality is incredible. I've had cards from this set sitting in a cupboard since 2020 - No curling, Perfect quality, and the smell of the cards is totally unique. You can tell they really went out of the way to make this a very special set.

For anyone else who was curious, a foil Vulshock Gauntlets was worth about $0.25 USD back in 2016. Even then most foil commons and uncommons were worthless sadly, with all the money being in the rares and mythics (for the most part).

Arguably the most destructive set Wizards printed. Draft boxes were severely under printed and Wizards decided to crank up the price for a second mythic/rare. The sets massive success in being a long term home run led to WotC watering down rare/mythic values and justification asking for insane prices.

I like the fact that he adores the printing of it but here in Europe we have the even better printing from Belgium. Nice to see Double Masters again. Prices here in Europe are € 350 for such a box. That is around 380 dollars.

I think that the expansion of demand due to expansion of player base has something to do with it. More people (new players) have created greater overall demand for the cards despite re printing.
