Most of those apartment buildings where a 2-bedroom "luxury" apartment in London (costs less than $100K to refurbish any apartment to this standard) costs over 2 MIL are simply way over priced, and are meant to be bought by outsiders with more money than logic. do you think the really wealthy live in such apartments ? think again. such an apartment might be the overnight hotel room for some of them when they cross the city, but nothing more... most of those "luxurious" buildings are so "luxurious" only because of pretended value - they look almost identical to mega pre-war buildings found in most major cities in western europe, where a 3-4 bedroom apartment will cost you less than 200K euros at most. London in general is a real estate bubble, the really top tier wealthy live far away in the country, in their multi acre estates, where they live in their 500 / 800 / 1000 sqm mansions... far beyond a stinky apartment in an over crowded city.
@piersmorgan29513 жыл бұрын
I believe the new generation of wealth tends to buy property in Knightsbridge, the people who have actually earnt the money, would not, because they know they can get more for what they are spending elsewhere, I.E. countryside. The new generation of wealth is basically kids, whose parents have loads of money. Although some people may purchase those properties as an investment, not the best idea, given the fact that you don't even own it, it is most probably on a lease. Also, I believe that the people who actually develop such properties, are the top tier wealthy people worth hundreds of millions, and the people who live in them or buy to let them, are the people worth a 10s of millions, there is a clear pattern here, as you can see.

It is one of most expensive places but reason for that is, London is officially “money laundering capital of the world” UKs and Worlds millionaires, billionaires, criminals, politicians all come here with their money and nobody asks you anything when you spending it. In theory they should ask you where did you get 50mil to buy this house but they don’t because estate agent gets 2% commissions on that sale. They should ask you where’s this money coming from when you spend 2m In single day at Harrods store or when you walk in to Lamborghini dealership and buy 5 cars or if you deposit 50mil at UK bank.

Let me put it this way: it is impossible for everybody to own, say, two brand new Rolls Royces, a mansion worth millions in which servants cook, clean and look after the needs of the host family. In other words, there can only be rich people if there are working people who have a moderately confortable income at best. For this to be possible you a need society which accepts this as the only possible social system. If the common man and woman realised fully how the banking system, for example, works by creating money out of nothing by adding zeros in computers and charging real money in interests society would see things very, very differently. You mean London or world wide because if we’re talking about worldwide ZIP codes The richest people live in Dubai. I mean even in Chicago and the lakefront you could twice the size of what you get for what you get in London and probably for somebody from the UK less the money I guess if we’re talking about ancient buildings and just because it’s London if they charge you for that I guess that’s why it’s so high but space and moneywise no it’s not the richest city.. I mean I’m just saying course I could be wrong but that’s what it looks like ... all the rich people live in the country the people that support the city are foreigners they rent and work there because the locals cannot afford it I mean this is to told to me by someone that’s from London
@baz11843 жыл бұрын
@@sandravaldez6278 first of all, this video is about just London, yet you somehow missed that. Also, it is about most expensive property, not how wealthy the people are. It's like you didn't even watch the video, or read the title. Secondly, you quoted prices of around $2.3million on average, Knightsbridge is the neighborhood in this video where the average home is £2.9million. Which is $4.04 million. So it is much more expensive. Third, you keep saying that you get much more space in other cities, which actually proves that they are much cheaper. Since for the same price in both LA and London for example, the home in London would be smaller because they can only afford smaller. If you wanted a bigger home in London you would have to pay EVEN more.
