Compared to where I live in Canada, the average house in London, England is very low and cheap. I live in the Peel Region in Ontario, Canada. Neighbors to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

It's not inflation, it's what he has done to it, connecting it to another large house, adding the enormous space underground, and fitting it all out extravagantly. But the valuation is speculative. I presume that he has done it as an investment - and it may prove to have been a bad one in the post Covid world.
