Won't bump supply that much, it's the one card that really needs it. I also assume the booster prices will drop fast. I'm not preordering anything this time around. Bruvac is already down to €20, the reprint was needed but the price was just scarcity driven (Jumpstart and list only). Hope it's going to be fun to draft, highly doubt it's going to be fun to open.

From what I've heard, WotC itself is actually above the line for profits, but Hasbro as a whole was down. But due to the structuring of the company (I can only guess a very poor structuring), they're "sharing the load" of the layoffs. Looking forward to that video on the WOTC layoffs. These layoffs will hurt a lot of people and are going to hurt the game in the long run. It looks like another instance of the tech financing boom and bust strategy for stock growth. Pushing up into a hype cycle to pull in investors as high as it can go and then use some of the collected capital and do cuts and layoffs on the downward slope. Then repeat growing value for the investors until it can’t grow any higher. Honestly when I compared that tech financing strategy with Hasbro, it made everything they have done in the last few years make a lot more sense. In the secretive corridors of the Azorius Senate, Bruvac, the Grandiloquent, formed an unlikely alliance with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, after a cunning squirrel slipped a loophole past Bruvac in a high-stakes legal dispute over communal tree ownership. The embarrassment fueled a clandestine mission: the expulsion of all squirrels from Ravnica. The covert conglomerate of Azorius and Izzet judges, led by Bruvac and Niv-Mizzet, executed an intricate campaign to expel squirrels from the plane. Their shared obsession unfolded in the shadows, hidden from public scrutiny. The legal battles against the squirrels were as elaborate as they were absurd, with each case becoming a battleground of wit and legal acrobatics. One squirrel argued that ancient trees' roots extended into multiple territories, rendering them communal assets. Bruvac, determined not to be outsmarted again, rallied his covert alliance to counter every legal gambit. As the judges relentlessly pursued their mission, the unintended consequence emerged. With no squirrels left to collect nuts, Ravnica became overwhelmed by an unprecedented abundance of nuts. The citizens soon faced a crisis as the nuts piled up, creating chaos in the streets. That younger bother opened a convenience store and was kind enough to let his older brother pursue dreams of distilling fine beverages in rear, storage area of this store. For convenience purposes clientele referred to the older brother by his gods given name Bruvac whereas his younger brother got stuck w the name Shopvac. It wasn’t an unlikely pairing and the two made a fine team.. but as history often proves, sibling rivalry prevails and after too many “you suck” comments found their way to Shopvacs generous ears the two parted ways and only Bruvacs name would be heard by the annals of time, although any specific details are fuzzy at best.

I can understand how you feel about the change of the game and the products etc. but as a viewer I don't particularly enjoy hearing that come through from the way you act and speak even though the information is always great. Not every product is for everyone and no one is forcing people to buy these cards and most of the expensive ones are only variants of already existing cheap cards. Proxying is always a thing and as one of your legendary lines goes: Buy singles! I'm not very happy about the magic NOW compared to how it was but I don't hate it either. They're apparently interested in burning out their best player, so to speak. Magic is like one of my children. I do love it, and over time it changes... and I'm always like, "That's cool, no matter what, I will always love you." And then occasionally I think, "Okay, I'm not totally certain that I agree with all of your decisions but I do still love and support you." But now I'm just like alright, you know what? You're not one of my actual kids. Keep it up, buddy. It's like they're either tone-deaf or pandering, there is no middle ground. Bad decisions at every turn. Constantly adjusting something that wasn't broken. Like it's just never enough. They have a legal currency-printing machine, and yet it's still just never enough. If they don't start preserving the game and all of the people surrounding it better I think it is going to crash and burn. They've taken the profits as granted for far, far too long.

This set is so bizarre, I'm wondering how well it even sells, or just how much it'll actually bring Shock Lands down. WotC actively avoided putting value into this set, and actively chose to put garbage into it, under the continued weak excuse of "but, the draft environment..." There is no reason, at all, ZERO REASON, like I can't stress enough how little reason there is for 'Doubling Season' to not be in the set. That alone would at least be SOMETHING to chase. It was from the FIRST Ravnica set, this is the "let's celebrate Ravnica" set, so...where is it??? This set feels like WotC actively trying to see how little they can offer players and how accepting players will be of less and less.
