My father used to play like this and regretfully now, I’ve never wanted to learn despite all his efforts at trying to get me to play. He’s 94 now and hasn’t played in 8 years due to agonizing arthritis. But I emailed this to him and he’s enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us all!

I'm a carpenter. A few years ago a lady friend noticed all the scars on my hands. I found 13 on my right, and 30 something on my left. She said "why so many on your left"? ...because I hold material with my left, and work with my right. So when the blade or chisel slips, my left takes the wound. From then on I started holding with my right and working with my left. I'm not 100% but I can do SO much more with my left now. Use a circular saw, jigsaw, handsaws, chisels, knives, sanders, etc.

I had surgery on my right hand many years ago and had to learn to brush left-handed. Couldn't figure out whether to move my head or my hand - took quite a while to get the hang of it. And when it came to the other things you do in the bathroom that you need hands for?? Let's not even go there. 😣😝
@helenetrstrup4817
@helenetrstrup4817 5 жыл бұрын
Well I learned how difficult that was when I hurt my right hand, probably sprained it, last summer. Spectacularly tripping over my own feet while running outside. I could use my hand as long as I wasn't using strength or moving my wrist. What followed was about 2 weeks I had to struggle with the left hand tooth brushing amongst other daily tasks. I think actually I ended up using my right hand for support and the left hand for strength, so I didn't end up putting my tooth brush down my throat instead XD Using a fork and a knife at the same time was the biggest problem though as I couldn't use the knife with my right hand, so cutting up meat and stuff just got really, really awkward.

I’m absolutely out of breath…I don’t know if I was holding my breath or if I was breathing in time with the frenetic notes. You two work very well with each other.Ach of you brings something very different to it, abu it works perfectly. I’m a disabled old woman, but if I had been there I would have set my walker aside and danced! I can’t hold still (like apparently a lot of people can, but I have to move when I hear music like that, even if I can’t dance nearly as well as I used to; and really, I was never that good, but I’ve simply got to move to the music. My body simply won’t allow a “no”! Great stuff, guys.

@Mike Wallace…..you bet they kick ass….I haven’t seen this much talent since I was a kid enjoying boogie woogie jam sessions….ohhhhh how I love those days when people played for the fun of playing their instruments, especially the piano. My sister played boogie woogie tunes but I wasn’t to hear much of it after she got married and left home…lol, actually I miss her playing the piano….she was trying to teach me a bit, but never had the chance to teach me more than she was able to after moving to another town….😥😥😥

Loved the amazing level of talent, especially when they kept switching back and forth between the bass rhythm and melody sections! I don't have anywhere near that level of skill, but the energy generated from the obvious tons of fun they had playing in this video immediately had me running back to my own piano to rekindle the pure enjoyment of playing that I seem to have forgotten.

I’m glad they are playing for free and for the fun of it too, and bringing music to others, maybe their influences will help someone else become interested into playing as well and bring a bit of joy of music into a world gone mad with technological gadgets and their dependence upon them.
@AngelCatBaby
@AngelCatBaby 2 жыл бұрын
@@ellenexmadden ….people who usually have a like interest can usually play together without rehearsing, if the knowledge of the songs is equal in their minds and hearts, sometimes it’s better to rehearse, but if doing it for fun….it doesn’t matter. I have played my three tambourines without rehearsals, because I can feel the rhythm and tones of the music through the various genres of the music….it’s hard to explain…all I know is I just can do it. At one time while playing music with a band I joined, they felt I couldn’t keep up or would not be able to hit the right rhythm with my tambourines, plus I started out with only one, then added more to it later on, but they were quite surprised when I did what I said I could do and it added another aspect of rhythm to the music….I was not only able to keep up, but also make the right choices in the right sections of the music with my tambourines…then I would give it my all. I have always looked for certain tones in my tambourines and each has their own distinct sounds and as I play them, each rings out a different tone within various sections of the music as I accompany the band members in the songs. I’ve also played drums, but not my own, I may actually need more practice and not be so shy about making the right sounds and noises with them….lol.
