Treaty of Versailles did not deal with Austria. The Treaty of St. Germain dealt with the punishment of Austria. As all the treaties with the various central powers, they all dealt not with peace but with the punishment of the countries and the requirement to transfer money from the losers to the winners. Even today we suffer from the stupidity of those various treaties ending WWI. WWII is a direct consequence of that peace.

I don't know who the chap in the rounded photo is. I have seen von Trapp in a movie and he looks a bit like the actor Christopher Plummer 😅😂

Georg Von Trapp died in 1949 in Manhattan. He was marching in the Austrian Navy veteran's parade. Since Austria was now a landlocked country, it's navy was very small, so he was the only one marching in the parade. He forgot to get a parade permit and was run over by a taxi on Fifth avenue.
