I wouldn't be surprised if it was the melee attack buffs that made them do so much damage, which is in line with what he said about damage buffs. A -24 melee defense debuff yields significantly more damage than a 25% increase to weapon damage and such a trade just makes your units genuinely worse. You can give your units +10,000% damage, but it won't matter if they can't hit anything. Also there's effectively a cap on how much damage you can deal to non-single-entity units, and boosting a units damage past the point they can one-shot models is definitively a waste.

@@RWhite_ oh don't get me wrong enticity is 100% correct that that 25% WS buff is garbage. But sometimes he or his audience get carried away in maligning debuffs/buffs as useless, when they do have important value in the right fights.

I noticed that the stat buffs in general had pretty good numbers this time around. Paymaster, Gorbad and bloodspeaker buffs all seem actually impactful. Skulltaker kinda suffers from being too expensive and Golgfag is like a mix of unsynergistic stuff and kinda bad numbers.

Honestly Sneaky Stabbin' has been a sleeper for a while now avoiding the spotlight cause Wurrzag/Ahzag provided AOE buffs and casting in one. Gobbo shaman is dirt cheap and so is the spell for a measly 4 winds (believe gobbo shaman still gets Wand of Jet for winds regen) so if you've got a hard hitter unit like trolls/boars/blorcs just throw it on them and hit their target with a debuff like Gork'll Fix It or Itchy Nuisance.

Yeah I wish grimgor had that impact on the battle field with buffs. There was a Chinese mp mod, where legendary lords could be assigned certain units and buff them. Grimgor could buff immortals and make them undying as long as the morale is high. Something like that in multiplayer could have been fun

​@@ZESTdabestIMO I think Grimgor should be all about Grimgor, da boys follow him because he's da biggest and da greenest, after all... He's a Skarbrand or a Vlad von Carstein. A one boy doomstack. The problem is that he is too easy to avoid. He needs units that can enable him to get in, but the problem there is that even when he DOES get in, it's tough for him to get enough value to make the investment worth it. On top of *all that*, he's not THAT much better of a fighter than the other greenskin legendary lords. I've actually got hopes that the arachnarok spider flinger will pair very well with Grimgor, since it can slow enemies at a massive range, which could buy Grimgor the distance he needs to catch up and krump whatever he can get his hands on.

@@kevingriffith6011your just advocating that he be useless. the only melee only foot lords that don't suck provide debuffs or are extremellt hard to kill. grimgor does neither. hes a terrible lord. also the web flinger is kinda silly since greenskins have multiple nets slows and rampage abilities

@@Weberkooks I'm glad you agree with me. He *does* need to be harder to kill or bring some kind of debuff to the table, but he's not a buffer. He's not a support like the comment I was responding to was hoping he could be. I also agree that "one man doomstack" foot lords struggle to be viable for many of the reasons I mentioned before. He is too easy to avoid, too easy to isolate and kill... but Grimgor *should* be that kind of lord, he just needs to be a lot better at it.. The greenskins already have plenty of other lords for anything else Grimgor could be reworked into.

@@loowick4074 true, but the 25% damage for -24MD is just mathematically always horrible, doesn't matter how you test it. -24 MD or whatever is like taking 75% more damage ish. For example if you have a 35% chance to get hit you will now have 59% to be hit
