The Most Fun Paintball Tournament ANYONE Can Play

This is footage from the August 2023 mechanical X-Ball tournament put on by XTPL Events at Paintball FIT.
These Mech X tournaments are an absolute blast. You do not need a team and will be drafted streetball style to a team. After being drafted you will be placed on a skill appropriate line. You can either use a mechanical paintball gun or electronic marker set to 6 bps. There is also sideline coaching, which creates an electric environment.
I love to play these tournaments and can recommend it to anyone at any level and they will have a great time.

I love them but they aren’t competitive compared to something like a dsr+ when it comes to the rate of fire you can achieve

I don’t really understand the mech craze. These new mechs can keep up or pass 10.5.

It takes practice and skill to shoot a mech marker consistently fast. See the guy at about 1:35 who is set up left handed but fanning with his right hand, then he needs to reload but it's all weird because he can't shoot fast left handed? He can probably shoot a mech fine right handed. Left handed he needs practice.

@@pocono_paintballdoes it? I guess I’m just old school and don’t see how the trigger skill is really a big deal. Only thing was learning not to short stroke. I still play sometimes with my minimag but I prefer my xball gun.

I just bought one from lone wolf paintball website like 2 weeks ago for my 30th birthday always wanted to play just never did so I finally pulled the trigger googled for places in my area called to verify they accepted walk ons abd played for 6 hours straight last weekend. Was an absolute blast and can’t wait to play tomorrow!

The problem is that it generally costs $50-100 per day to play even if you already own a gun (definitely on the higher end of that for tournament paintball). So if you can't afford a gun your definitely not going to be able to afford paint/air to play at any sort of a regular basis. I recommend getting a job, and then starting with pump or magfed so you aren't going through as much paint.
