I think Jamie's space trap meta will continue to progress over time because of the constant threat of 4HP to punish counter shorter ranged buttons, and 5HP to counter hit slower/longer buttons Good video as always!

lets goo honestly one of my favorite moves on drive to use it also helps conditioning them too : )

I especially use it when the opponent is in burnout since its plus 1. After doing it i follow up with crouching light punch that might or not counter hit. If i have no counter hit i keep the pressure but minding any super coming out.

How I like to use? When I think he is going to chanlenge with 2LP or shimmys . I like to use a lot to mix up with throw after DR . Honestly most of my initial game is DR 5HP 2LP LK (1x or 2x) Light Rekka.

the downside is that it whiifs like a motherfucker and if spaced incorrectly only the 3rd uncancellable hit will connect thus making you dead by drive impact

If you get caught up in combos and going on the offense, but if you just use your tools in footsies and then offense/whiff punish combos it will help with executing inputs since you already know how to break defenses and get hit confirms.

I've just come back to the SF series after not playing 5. While I was never good, I wasn't completely new to it. But since the gap, I've missed out on some of the lingo. Can someone explain what Number into move means? Like 5 medium punch? I'm so used to Cr.mk or St.Hp so I'm just a bit confused. Thanks in advance!

It's numpad notation. 5 would be in the middle so neutral position for the joystick. Any number in front can be thought of as a direction.

7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 So when 5HP, 5 is neutral 2LP would be cr.lp

Do you hold parry after the 5HP with the -3 frame for the perfect parry? When I hold it it doens't work, when I try and manually time it does not work. It just blocks instead

You can't perfect parry while holding, you can see my inputs on the left that I tap it when the opponent is about to challenge.

this got patched or something?, i dont get what i'm doing wrong with the perfect parry thing on 5HP on block, if i press too soon drive cancelel and if press as soon as jamie are not "red" on training nothing hapens wtf, i mean i just stand parrying and not get a perfect parry

You have to delay the parry slightly after dr 5 hp, it's just a matter of practicing the timing.

Why is divekick 5hp sweep so hard for me to land... i drop the sweep often

Try buffering it. Or mash it out.

Professor there is something you missed talking about Stading Fierce. It happens so much to me, because of course if hit the three hits it breaks DI, but if it only hits 1 or 2 you take the OD and dawg, it hurts... Can't say how many DII took after DR 5HP.
